This Glossary covers the definition, data source, and business use of every metric available in Thryv® reporting. Metrics are organized by the report they appear in. To navigate to a specific metric, use Ctrl+F (Windows) or Command+F (Mac) and type the metric name. If you do not see a term you are looking for, contact Thryv Support.

Appointments Report Metrics
The Appointments report shows data about your scheduled, completed, cancelled, and rescheduled appointments over a selected time frame. To access the Appointments report, see Appointments Report in Thryv.
Appointments By Status
Appointments By Status is a graph showing the number of appointments in a selected time frame, broken down by their current status. When viewing upcoming time frames such as the next week or next four weeks this metric helps you identify whether you are properly staffed or whether additional coverage is needed. When viewing past time frames such as the last four weeks you can see the number of cancelled, completed, and expired appointments. To include no-show appointments in this data, you must mark appointments as no-show in Thryv Business Center™, appointments are not automatically marked as no-show.

Appointments Per Staff
Appointments Per Staff shows the number of appointments assigned to each staff member over a selected time frame. Use this metric to see which staff members are carrying the most appointments and identify opportunities for workload balancing. If one staff member has significantly more appointments than others, you can reassign appointments directly in Thryv Business Center.

Appointments By Customer Status
Appointments By Customer Status shows the number of appointments from new customers (leads) versus repeat or established customers over a selected time frame. Use this metric to evaluate your customer retention rate and your lead conversion rate. If most of your appointments are from new customers, this may indicate an opportunity to improve follow-up with existing clients. If repeat appointments are low, consider reviewing your post-appointment communication strategy. For this metric to display accurate data, you must be using the client status feature in Thryv Business Center.

Appointments By Type
Appointments By Type shows your appointments sorted into two categories: group events and one-on-one appointments. Use this metric to see which appointment type is more popular with your clients. If you want to shift demand toward one type, you can promote group events or one-on-one appointments using announcements.

Cancelled Appointments
Cancelled Appointments is the total number of appointments that were cancelled or declined over a selected time frame. Use this metric to identify patterns in cancellations cross-reference with staff or service type reports to see whether certain staff members or service types have higher cancellation rates, or review by customer to identify clients who cancel frequently.

Rescheduled Appointments
Rescheduled Appointments is the total number of appointments rescheduled by your staff or your customers over a selected time frame. Use this metric to identify patterns in rescheduling cross-reference with staff or service type reports to see whether certain staff members or service types are rescheduled more often, or review by customer to identify clients who reschedule frequently.

Completed Appointments
Completed Appointments is the total number of appointments marked as completed over a selected time frame. Use this metric to track your busiest periods and identify seasonal patterns in your schedule. Once you identify your peak seasons, you can schedule announcements in advance to promote seasonal services and keep your schedule full during slower periods.

Sales Report Metrics
The Sales report shows data about your revenue, estimates, invoices, and new customers over a selected time frame. To access the Sales report, see Sales Report in Thryv.
Payments Received
Payments Received is the total amount of payment collected over a selected time frame. Use this metric to track your income, make revenue projections, and prepare business plans or financial reports. For this metric to reflect your complete revenue accurately, you must record all cash and check payments in Thryv Business Center in addition to payments processed digitally cash and check payments are not recorded automatically.

Estimates Issued Revenue
Estimates Issued Revenue is the total revenue value of all estimates issued over a selected time frame. Use this metric to understand how much potential revenue you are generating through estimates and compare it to your actual payments received to evaluate your estimate approval rate.

Estimate Status
Estimate Status shows all estimates grouped by their current stage in the approval process. The stages shown are awaiting approval, approved, rejected, and invoiced. Use this metric to quickly identify how many estimates are still pending a response and follow up with clients on outstanding estimates.

Estimate Revenue Per Staff
Estimate Revenue Per Staff shows the number of estimates issued by each staff member alongside the revenue value attached to those estimates. Use this metric to see which staff members are generating the most estimate revenue and which estimates are getting approved, helping you identify top performers and coaching opportunities.

Invoice Revenue
Invoice Revenue is the total revenue generated from invoices over a selected time frame. Use this metric to track invoice income separately from other payment types and include it in financial reports or business planning.

New Customers
New Customers is the total number of new client cards created in Thryv Business Center over a selected time frame. For this metric to be accurate, you must add all new customers and leads to Thryv Business Center clients who are not added will not be counted.

New Customers By Channel
New Customers By Channel shows where your new clients are coming from, broken down by the channel through which they first contacted or connected with your business. Use this metric to identify your most effective lead sources and focus your marketing efforts on the channels generating the most new clients.

Know My Customer Report Metrics
The Know My Customer report shows data about your client base, including spending patterns, appointment frequency, and client record completeness. To access the Know My Customer report, see Know My Customer Report in Thryv.
Customer Spend
Customer Spend is the total amount spent by your clients over a selected time frame, split between new customers and existing customers. Use this metric to determine customer lifetime value and identify opportunities to convert one-time customers into repeat clients. A significant gap between new and existing customer spend may indicate an opportunity to improve your retention and follow-up strategy.

Recurring Appointment Intervals
Recurring Appointment Intervals shows the average time between recurring appointments for your clients, along with the number of recurring appointments in that period. Use this metric to understand how frequently your clients typically rebook. Once you know the average interval, you can create an automated campaign timed to that interval for example, sending a promotion just before a client is due to rebook to convert more one-time appointments into recurring ones.

Client Card Completion
Client Card Completion shows how many of your client cards in Thryv Business Center are fully filled out. Use this metric to evaluate how thoroughly your staff are capturing client information when adding new clients, or how completely clients are filling out your intake forms. If completion is low, review your intake forms to confirm they are capturing the information you need, and consider increasing the number of required fields.

SMS and Email Marketing Report Metrics
The SMS and Email Marketing report shows data about your announcement campaigns, including how many were sent and how many were read. To access the SMS and Email Marketing report, see SMS and Email Marketing Report in Thryv.
Campaign Notifications
Campaign Notifications is the total number of notifications sent across all announcement campaigns over a selected time frame. Use this metric to understand your overall announcement volume.

Campaigns Sent shows the number of announcement campaign notifications sent, broken down by individual campaign name. Use this metric to compare volume across campaigns and see which campaigns reached the most recipients.

Campaign Details
Campaign Details shows the total number of announcement campaign notifications sent along with the delivery status of each. Use this metric to verify that your campaigns are reaching recipients successfully and identify any delivery issues.

Announcement Emails Read
Announcement Emails Read is the total number of announcement campaign emails that were opened and read by recipients. Compare this metric to Campaigns Sent to calculate your overall email open rate, or compare it to Announcement SMS Read to see whether email or text message performs better with your audience.

Announcement SMS Read
Announcement SMS Read is the total number of announcement campaign text messages that were opened and read by recipients. Compare this metric to Campaigns Sent to calculate your overall SMS open rate, or compare it to Announcement Emails Read to see whether text message or email performs better with your audience.

Team Activity Report Metrics
The Team Activity report shows data about your staff members' performance, including revenue generated, appointments served, and customer activity. To access the Team Activity report, see Team Activity Report in Thryv.
Revenue Per Staff
Revenue Per Staff is the total revenue generated by each staff member over a selected time frame. Revenue Per Staff is calculated based on the staff member assigned to the client who made the payment, and includes payments made on invoices, appointments, and miscellaneous payments.

Invoice Revenue Per Staff
Invoice Revenue Per Staff shows the total revenue generated from invoices, broken down by staff member. Use this metric to see which staff members are bringing in the most invoice revenue and identify your top performers.

New Customers Served Per Staff
New Customers Served Per Staff shows the number of new customers served by each staff member over a selected time frame. In this metric, a new customer is defined as a client whose client card did not exist in Thryv Business Center prior to the transaction with that staff member. Use this metric to see which staff members are converting leads and growing your client base.

Repeat Customers Served Per Staff
Repeat Customers Served Per Staff shows the number of existing customers served by each staff member over a selected time frame. In this metric, an existing customer is defined as a client whose client card already existed in Thryv Business Center prior to the transaction with that staff member. Use this metric to see which staff members are retaining clients and increasing customer lifetime value.

Advanced Web Performance Report Metrics
The Advanced Web Performance report shows data about your website traffic, visitor behavior, and conversion activity. To access the Advanced Web Performance report, see Advanced Web Performance Report in Thryv.
Website Visitors
Website Visitors is the total number of unique visitors to your website over a selected time frame. Use this metric as the starting point for tracking your lead funnel and understanding how many people are reaching your website. For deeper insight into what visitors are doing when they arrive, install your Heatmap to track behavior on your website pages.

Website Leads
Website Leads is the number of new customers who took a conversion action on your website over a selected time frame. Conversion actions include filling out a contact form, scheduling an appointment, or making a payment. Use this metric to measure how effectively your website is converting visitors into leads. To increase website conversions, enable online booking so visitors can schedule directly from your site.

Top Website Pages
Top Website Pages shows which pages on your website are receiving the most visits over a selected time frame. Use this metric to identify which parts of your website are performing best and which pages may need improvement. Website Actions
Website Actions shows what actions visitors are taking after landing on your website, such as clicking a button, filling out a form, or navigating to another page. Use this metric to understand whether your calls to action are clear and effective, and to identify any friction points where visitors are dropping off without converting.

New and Return Visitors
New and Return Visitors shows the total number of website visitors broken down by whether they are visiting for the first time or returning to your site. Use this metric to understand how many new leads your website is attracting versus how many existing clients are coming back. To increase return visits, follow up with past clients using automated email campaigns in Thryv Business Center.

Website Bounce Rate
Website Bounce Rate is the percentage of visitor sessions where a lead arrived at your website and left without taking any action. A high bounce rate indicates that visitors are not finding what they need quickly enough or that the page they land on is not engaging them effectively. When your bounce rate is high, review the portion of your website that loads without scrolling — also called above the fold — and make sure it clearly communicates what your business does and provides an obvious next step for the visitor.

Website Visitors Incoming Channel
Website Visitors Incoming Channel shows how visitors are arriving at your website, broken down by the channel that brought them such as organic search, paid ads, social media, or direct traffic. Use this metric to evaluate which channels are driving the most traffic to your website and focus your marketing investment on the sources that are performing best.

Marketing Activity Report Metrics
The Marketing Activity report shows data about your leads, calls, forms, clicks, and impressions across your online presence. To access the Marketing Activity report, see Marketing Activity Report in Thryv.
Total Leads
Total Leads is the total number of leads generated across all channels over a selected time frame. Leads are counted from calls to your tracked phone numbers, form fills on your website, and website conversions. Note that form fills are not counted in Australia or Canada. To ensure that conversions from a third-party website one not built by Thryv are counted in this metric, you must add visitor tagging to your website HTML.

Leads By Type
Leads By Type shows the total number of leads sorted by the specific action they took to become a lead such as requesting directions to your business on Google Maps, calling one of your tracked phone numbers, or completing a form on your website. Use this metric to see which conversion method is generating the most leads, and consider adjusting your calls to action in your ads to drive more leads through your preferred channel.

Total Calls
Total Calls is the total number of calls made to your tracked phone numbers over a selected time frame. Note that calls made directly to your main business phone line one that is not a Thryv tracked number are not counted in this metric. To make this metric as accurate as possible, use trackable phone numbers in all advertising efforts, including ads placed outside of Thryv.

Calls By Type
Calls By Type shows your total calls sorted by whether they were answered or unanswered. Use this metric to identify how many calls are going unanswered. If unanswered calls are high, consider changing the destination number for your tracked phone numbers to a team member who is more consistently available to answer.

Total Forms
Total Forms is the total number of forms filled out by leads on your website over a selected time frame. Form fills give leads an alternative way to contact your business without making a phone call, and they capture structured information about the lead at the same time. Use this metric to track how effectively your forms are generating engagement.

Total Clicks
Total Clicks is the total number of clicks on your online profiles across all channels over a selected time frame. Use this metric as a measure of how often leads are choosing to engage with your business after seeing it in a search result or other channel.

Clicks to Leads
Clicks to Leads shows the total number of clicks on your online profiles alongside the ratio of those clicks that converted into leads. This is a key metric for measuring the overall effectiveness of your online presence. A low clicks-to-leads ratio means leads are clicking on your profile but not taking action review your online profiles to make sure they clearly communicate what your business does, why you are the best choice, and what the lead should do next.

Total Impressions
Total Impressions is the total number of times your online profiles have appeared to a lead in a search result or other channel over a selected time frame. Compare Total Impressions to Total Clicks to see what percentage of leads who see your profile choose to click on it. A low click-through rate relative to impressions may indicate that your profile listing, headline, or images need to be more compelling.
