One of the pre-built reports available in Thryv Reporting Center™ is the Sales Report. This report contains metrics for new incoming customers and how they flow through your sales process, including receiving estimates, invoices, and completing appointments.
Tips to make sure this report is effective
- This report relies heavily on keeping accurate customer data. For this reason, it is important that you enter all new customers and leads as client cards in your Thryv Business Center™ CRM, so that all of your business data appears in the report
- Make sure you are marking no-show appointments when they happen. There isn't a way for this to be tracked automatically, so if you want this data included you will need to mark it.
Insights gained from this report
- New customers over time gives you an idea of how many customers are flowing into your pipeline. Adjust the date ranges to see how this has changed over time
- Cross reference your estimate revenue with invoice revenue, as well as estimates by status, to get an idea of how well your estimates are converting to paid invoices.
- Look at appointment statuses to see how much missed and rescheduled appointments are costing your business
Actions you can take from this report
- Use this report to identify bottlenecks in your sales process and see which part can be improved. For example, if estimates are expiring and not being approved, or invoices are sitting unpaid, consider implementing automated reminders for these
- If you have a high number of no-shows or rescheduled appointments, you can also implement or adjust your appointment reminders
- Compare Estimates Issued by Revenue with staff members to see which staff members' estimates are converting to revenue. Provide coaching as needed or recognize top performers.
