Issue Date vs Invoice & Due Date
Issue Date vs Invoice & Due Date
Due Dates sync properly to Quickbooks. The issue date, which is normally used as an 'Invoice date' when creating a invoice, however is obsolete once 'approved' or sent to client. Will there be an actually invoice date field? That will function in the same fashion as the 'DUE DATE' OR is that due date using the 'aging'?

Hello AG$, thank you for your question!
I want to make sure we're understanding you right. Is what you're wanting
1. An Invoice date - meaning the date you created the invoice
2. A Invoice Issue date - meaning the date it was sent to the client, which is later
3. An invoice Due Date - the date payment is due, which is later than 1 & 2?And for all of these to appear in Quickbooks?
If I'm understanding right, we can add this to the feedback center as a feedback item, as currently, only items #2 and #3 will sync to QuickBooks.
If I'm not understanding right, please correct me in a comment!0 -
1. Invoice Date - the billing occurrence.
Example Description: September Rent would be dated 09.01.24, but i created it 08.17.24 today
2. Issue date - would be if i 'Approved' or 'Sent' to the client today. 08.17.24, it will sync to QB with todays date 08.17.24. Which is incorrect... I have to change the date to 09.01.24
3. Due Date would be 09.30 or 09.01. On the QB side I would be able to see the due date, but ONLY on future dated invoices. Anything in the past, say June Rent, it would STILL sync to 08.17.24 and due date is also 08.17.24.
I'm asking is Thryv looking at the date? Or is Thryv using the 'aging', net 30, net 15 or Due Upon Receipt? I've tested this and i'm not sure how it's using that 'due date' field.
Thanks again for your help!

aha! Thank you for clarifying! The expected behavior is that it sets the due date a predetermined number of days after the invoice date, which is defined in your invoice settings. So it does depend on the age of the invoice as the default. Note that you can manually set a different date when creating the invoice and this will override your settings.
Does this answer your question?1 -
yes yes, thanks. I'll adjust the 'Aging' date for the team. Thanks a bunch!!!
