This article covers how to use the Keap™ Business Line from the Keap desktop application, including accessing conversations, creating and sending messages, group messages, message actions, appointment booking links, deleting conversations, and creating contacts from messages. Requirements
To access the Keap Business Line on desktop, the following requirements must be met:
The account must be located in the US or Canada.
The Keap Business Line must be set up. All users in the account can access Business Line regardless of their role.
Note: Group messages sent from the Keap Mobile app do not appear in the Business Line tab on desktop. Group messages are only available in the mobile app.
Access Business Line on Desktop
Navigate to Comms, then select Business Line. If the Keap Business Line has not yet been set up, an option appears to text a download link for the Keap Mobile app to a phone number.

Create a New Message

Select the Plus icon to start a new conversation.

Enter the name or phone number of the contact to message.

Note: The Plus icon and search field can also be used to search for and navigate to existing conversations.
Group Messages
Group messages can be sent to up to nine contacts at a time from the Business Line tab. Group messages sent from the mobile app will not appear here.

Send a Message
Type the message in the field at the bottom of the conversation and select Send. The following keyboard shortcuts can also be used to send:
Mac OS: Command + Enter
Windows and other operating systems: Control + Enter

Message Actions
Hovering next to a message in the conversation thread reveals available actions for that message.
Call actions — Hover next to a call entry to access the following options:
View call details
Call back
Create a task
Add a call note

Send an Appointment Booking Link

Select the calendar icon at the bottom-left of the message input field.

Select the booking link to send. The link is automatically inserted into the message field.

Select Send to send the message with the booking link.

Delete a Conversation

Open the conversation thread to delete.

Select the ellipsis menu and choose Delete conversation.

View a Contact Record From a Conversation
Select the contact's name within the conversation thread to open their contact record.

Create a New Contact From a Message
When a message is received from or a conversation is started with an unknown number, an option to create a new contact record appears directly in the conversation.

Why do group messages from the mobile app not appear on desktop?
Group messages sent from the Keap Mobile app are not synchronized to the Business Line tab on desktop. Group messaging is a mobile-only feature. To view group message conversations, use the Keap Mobile app.
Can Business Line be used outside the US and Canada?
No. The Keap Business Line is only available to accounts located in the US or Canada.
