This article covers how to access, use, and manage message templates in the Keap™ Mobile app. Message templates allow frequently used messages to be saved and reused when sending messages through the Keap Business Line — eliminating the need to retype or copy common messages. Message templates are only available when using the Keap Business Line. To get started, first install Keap Mobile on an iOS or Android device and set up the Keap Business Line.
Access and Use a Message Template
Navigate to any screen in the Keap Mobile app where a message can be sent from the Keap Business Line.
Enter the name of the contact to message.
Tap to open the message composer for the contact.

Tap the template icon to open the Insert template menu, which displays a list of saved templates.

Tap a template from the list to insert it into the message.
Create and Manage Message Templates
In the Insert template menu, tap Manage.
Select an existing template to edit it, or tap + New template to create a new one.
Enter or edit the template name.
Enter or edit the template message.

Optionally, tap the calendar button to insert an appointment link, or tap the {#} button to insert a merge field.
Note: Not all merge fields are available for use in message templates.
Tap Save to save the template.

Are message templates available without the Keap Business Line?
No. Message templates in Keap Mobile are only available when the Keap Business Line is active. The template icon will not appear in the message composer unless the Keap Business Line is set up and enabled.
Are all merge fields available in message templates?
No. Only a subset of merge fields is available for use in message templates. Tap the {#} button in the template editor to see the merge fields that are currently supported.
