Why the Global Action Button Saves You Time in Keap
Switching between different sections of your CRM to complete routine tasks slows you down. The Global Action Button in Keap™ gives you instant access to the most common actions from anywhere in the application — without navigating away from the page you are on. Use the Global Action Button to add a contact, log a call, send a message, book an appointment, create a task, send an email, or add a note to a contact record. If you have created Web Forms or set up Keap™ Business Line, those actions will also appear in the Global Action Button menu.
How to Use the Global Action Button in Keap
To access the Global Action Button, click the Plus icon in the left-hand navigation panel. The Plus icon is available from every page inside the Keap™ application.
The screenshot below shows the Plus icon in the left-hand navigation panel of the Keap™ application. The Plus icon appears as a circular button in the left-hand navigation panel and is visible from every page in the application.
After clicking the Plus icon, a dropdown menu appears with the following action options: Contact, Call, Message, Appointment, Task, Email, and Note. If you have set up Keap Business Line, a message option will also appear. If you have created Web Forms, your saved Web Forms will also be available as selectable options in the dropdown. Click any action to begin that task immediately.
The screenshot below shows the Global Action Button dropdown menu open in the left-hand navigation panel. The dropdown displays the full list of available actions: Contact, Call, Message, Appointment, Task, Email, and Note. Additional options for Web Forms and Keap Business Line messaging appear below the default actions if those features have been configured on your account.

What actions are available in the Global Action Button?
The Global Action Button dropdown menu includes the following default actions: adding a new contact, logging a call, sending a message, booking an appointment, creating a task, sending an email, and adding a note to a contact record. If Keap™ Business Line is set up on your account, a Business Line message option will also appear. If Web Forms have been created on your account, your saved Web Forms will appear as additional selectable options in the dropdown.
Can I access the Global Action Button from every page in Keap?
Yes. The Plus icon that opens the Global Action Button is available in the left-hand navigation panel on every page inside the Keap™ application. You do not need to navigate to the dashboard or any specific page to use the Global Action Button.
