Why Use the Documents Feature in Thryv Business Center
Emailing documents back and forth with clients means lost attachments, cluttered inboxes, and no way to know if a client actually opened what you sent. The Documents feature in Thryv Business Center™ gives you one place to store, share, and request documents with clients. You can see when a client has reviewed a document, download or print documents directly from the dashboard, and keep the files you reuse most often in a dedicated My Documents section so they are always ready to send.
Supported and Unsupported File Types
Thryv Business Center Documents accepts most common file types including text documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, images, and GIFs. The maximum file size for any document upload is 20 MB.
Thryv Business Center Documents does not accept video files, audio files, executable files, or web files. Specific unsupported file extensions include: .mp4, .ogg, .msg, .html, .xhtml, .htmlx, .dhtml, .jhtml, .phtml, .rhtml, .zhtml, .mhtml, .js, .css, .sass, and .scss.

How to Access the Document Dashboard
Click Documents in the left-hand navigation of Thryv Business Center to open the Document Dashboard. The dashboard displays your most recent document activity, your saved documents, and quick access to document actions.
The screenshot below shows the Document Dashboard in Thryv Business Center. The dashboard is divided into two main areas: the Latest Documents panel on the left showing recent document activity by client, and the My Documents panel on the right showing saved documents. Navigation to the Documents section appears highlighted in the left-hand navigation menu.
Clicking on any document in the dashboard opens a preview of that document. The following file types can be previewed directly in Thryv Business Center: .pdf, .jpeg, .jpg, .GIF, and .png.
The following file types cannot be previewed in Thryv Business Center and must be downloaded to view: .xlsx, .xls, .csv, and .pptx.
Latest Documents
The Latest Documents panel on the left side of the Document Dashboard shows the most recently shared or received documents, organized by client and interaction type. Each document displays its current status. A document shows Pending Review until the client opens it. Once the client has opened the document, the status updates to Reviewed.
The screenshot below shows the Latest Documents panel in the Thryv Business Center Document Dashboard. Each row displays the document name, the client it is associated with, the interaction type (such as shared or incoming), and the current status label — either Pending Review or Reviewed.
My Documents
The My Documents panel on the right side of the Document Dashboard is a saved library for documents you reuse most often. Documents stored in My Documents can be sent to clients quickly without needing to upload them each time.
Each document in the My Documents panel has four action options accessible from the document row:
Grab Link or Send — copies a direct link to the document or sends the document to a client from within Thryv Business Center.
Edit — opens the document details to update the title or description.
Remove — removes the document from the My Documents panel only. The document is not deleted from Thryv Business Center and will still be accessible from the document's original location.
View — opens a preview of the document.
The screenshot below shows the My Documents panel in the Thryv Business Center Document Dashboard. Each document row displays the document name and four action icons to the right: Grab Link or Send, Edit, Remove, and View.
To add a document to your My Documents panel, click Attach Document at the top of the My Documents panel and select the file you want to save.

Document Details
Clicking on any document in the Document Dashboard opens a preview of that document. Click Details to view additional information about the document, including the file size, the latest status, and the client record of the client the document is associated with. The Details view also lets you download a copy of the document to your device or open a print preview.
The screenshot below shows the document preview screen in Thryv Business Center with the Details panel open on the right side. The Details panel displays the document file size, current status, and the client record associated with the document. Download and print options appear at the top of the Details panel.
The document details screen provides three action options:
Delete — permanently deletes the document from Thryv Business Center.
Download — opens a preview of the document with options to download to your device or print.
More — opens the View Conversation option, which takes you to the Conversations tab in the client's record at the point where this document was originally sent.
The screenshot below shows the action buttons at the bottom of the document details screen in Thryv Business Center. Three buttons appear: Delete on the left, Download in the center, and More on the right. The More button expands to show the View Conversation option.
