Why Collect Payments Through Thryv Business Center
Collecting payments through Thryv Business Center™ means your clients can pay online using any credit or debit card without needing to create an account with your payment processor. Thryv Business Center processes payments through industry-leading payment platforms, so your clients see a trusted, recognizable logo at checkout and know their payment information is secure. Credit card information is never stored without your client's permission. Funds collected on your behalf are transferred immediately to your connected payment processor account or bank account, so you get paid faster without manual follow-up.
Supported Payment Processors
Thryv Business Center supports the following payment processors for collecting payments from your clients:
- ThryvPay™
- Braintree
- Stripe
- Square
- PayPal
Each payment processor handles credit card and debit card payments securely on your behalf. Your clients do not need to have an account with any of these payment processors to complete a payment.
Payment Processing Rates
The screenshot below displays the complete overview of processing rates for all payment processors currently supported by Thryv Business Center, including transaction fees for credit card, debit card, and online payment methods for each processor.
Additional Square rate:
- In-person keyed-in rate (when a card number is entered manually instead of swiped): 3.5% + $0.15 per transaction
How to Connect a Payment Processor
Follow these steps to connect a payment processor to your Thryv Business Center account and begin collecting payments from your clients.
- Navigate to Payment Settings
Click Settings in the left-hand navigation. Then click Payments. The Payments settings page displays your current payment processor configuration and available payment options.
- Connect your payment processor
Select the payment processor you want to connect to your Thryv Business Center account. Use the articles below for step-by-step instructions to connect each supported processor:

- Enable online payments
After connecting your payment processor, confirm that the Online Payments option is checked on the Payments settings page. Enabling the Online Payments option allows your clients to pay online through your client portal, booking page, and invoices.
Ways to Collect Payments from Clients
Once your payment processor is connected and online payments are enabled, Thryv Business Center offers the following methods for collecting payments from your clients:
- Client portal payment widget, add a direct payment action to your client portal widget so clients can submit payments directly from your website. Funds we collect on your behalf will be immediately transferred to your ThryvPay/Braintree/Stripe/Square account or bank account.

Well spotted! While you are correct that we are no longer able to offer a connection set up with Braintree, we do still have some users who have it connected from the time it was an option. For this reason we want to keep help content available for them
