Upper Menu Options
The menu is located at the top of your business transaction overview and contains the following options:
The first button is your "Export" Button, which will export your Payments Report:
Download a customized payments report for a specific date range.
- All — Exports all available transaction data, including any tags associated with each client.
- Filtered — Generates the report based on the filters applied on the Payments summary page (Status, Payment Source, and Payment Type).
- Format — Select the file format for the generated report.
- Columns — Choose which client information to include in the report. The available options are pulled from your client CRM fields.
Note: To include taxes in your report, make sure the Add Tax Breakdown Fields checkbox is checked.
The second button will take you to your Payments Settings:
The Payments Settings page is where you can configure your payment preferences. Available options include:
- Enable online payment options for your clients
- Connect your merchant account for online payment deposits
- Set up late payment reminders
- Manage new payment notifications
- Choose which platform to use for collecting fees
- Customize your payment form to match your brand and preferences
- Configure your client policies

Clicking on this button from the Estimates, Billing & Invoicing or Payments Received tabs will open the following options:
Charge
This will allow you to charge a client with their credit card, manually.

This feature allows you to record a payment directly in Thryv Business Center, helping you keep your books up to date regardless of where payments are made.

Send Payment Link
Send one or more clients an email containing a payment request with the option to pay online. You can customize the message content, the payment amount, and the description of what the payment is for.
Note: You also have the option to change the action to another client portal link. Simply click the "Change Action" button.
Select - Only Available Under the "Invoices & Bookings" Panel.
Select (or deselect) multiple payments to take bulk actions. For example, you can filter all open payments for a specific client, select All and Mark them as Paid.

Filter and sort payments to easily review your revenues.
Filter based on the payment Status, Source or Type and even a specific client.
Sort the information based on creation date, payment date and more.
Payments Summary Display
An overview of the status of your payments.
Overall Summary
The main payments box contains an overview of All Payments, Paid and Cancelled and Refunded Payments
- All — Displays the total amount of all payments, regardless of whether they were paid, cancelled, or refunded.
- Paid — Displays only payments that were completed and not cancelled or refunded.
- Cancelled and Refunded — Displays the total amount of payments that were either cancelled or refunded.
Q&A
Can I collect payments with my own online payment gateway? You can only connect and collect payments through ThryvPay, Stripe, or Square.
Are there any commissions or fees when collecting payments online? Thryv does not charge any commissions or fees. You only pay the transaction fees set by your ThryvPay, Stripe, or Square account. Thryv will never access or hold any funds collected on your behalf.
How secure is the online payment option? Payments are processed through ThryvPay, Stripe, or Square — three of the most secure payment platforms available — ensuring your clients' payment information is protected.
Can I set taxes, discounts, payment terms, and due dates when creating a new invoice? Yes. The invoicing option is fully customizable and compliant with U.S. and European Union standards. You can also add your logo and address.
Will staff members be able to collect payments to their own ThryvPay, Stripe, or Square account? No. All payments collected online will be deposited into the admin's ThryvPay, Stripe, or Square account.
