How to Access Your Listings Profile
Your Listings Profile is the central form that pushes your business information to all partner listing sites. To access your Listings Profile, click Manage My Listings in the top-right area of the Listings section in Thryv. The Listings Profile form will open and display a profile strength indicator at the top of the page.
Thryv measures the overall strength of your Listings Profile using a profile strength indicator that rates your profile from Bad to Great. The more completely you fill out your Listings Profile, the higher your profile strength score. A stronger profile increases your visibility and the accuracy of your business information across all partner sites. Complete every section of the Listings Profile to achieve a Great rating.
How to Fill In Your Business Name and Description
Enter your business name in the Business Name field. Then enter a description of your business in the Description field. The standard business description has a 200-character limit. A character counter in the lower-right corner of the Description field displays how many characters you have used as you type. Write a description that gives customers enough information to understand what your business does and include keywords that customers are likely to search for. Keywords should read naturally within the description, do not force multiple keywords together in a way that disrupts the flow of the text.
A separate business description field is available specifically for Apple Maps. Apple Maps allows up to 500 characters for business descriptions, so the Apple Maps description field lets you write a longer, more detailed description tailored to that platform. The Apple Maps description field does not affect the standard 200-character description that is sent to all other partner sites.
How to Select Your Business Categories
Select your business categories from the Category field in the Listings Profile form. All available categories in the Listings Profile are predetermined to ensure that your business is listed correctly across partner sites such as Facebook, Yelp and Yahoo. The first category you select becomes your Primary Category. Every additional category you select after the first is listed as a Secondary Category. Select categories in the order of relevance to your business, the most relevant category first. Most listing partner sites support a maximum of 5 categories, so select up to 5 categories that best describe your business.
How to Enter Your Business Address
Enter your physical business address in the Business Address field. A physical street address is required, do not enter a PO Box, as PO Box addresses are not accepted by listing partner sites. After entering your address, select one of the following address display options: display your full address, display your city and state only, or hide your address entirely. If you choose to hide your address, you must define a Service Area (covered in the How to Define Your Service Area section of this article) so that Google can still list your business. Google does not list businesses that have neither a physical address nor a defined service area.
Important: If your Google Business Profile is already verified, entering a business address in the Listings Profile that does not match the address on your Google Business Profile may trigger re-verification by Google or cause your Google listing to be suspended. Thryv does not control Google's re-verification process. Your updated address will not display on Google until re-verification is complete.
How to Enter Your Business Phone Number
Enter your primary business phone number in the Main Phone field. Use the phone number you are most likely to answer when a customer calls. If your business has a secondary phone number, mobile number or fax number, enter each in the corresponding additional phone fields. Listing all available contact numbers increases the ways customers can reach you, which improves your chances of capturing new business from your listings.
How to Add Your Business Email Address
Enter the email address you want customers to use to contact your business in the Email Address field. Use an email address that you check regularly so that you do not miss inquiries from potential customers who find your listing and choose to reach out by email. Listing an email address gives customers an additional way to contact you beyond phone, which increases your overall accessibility and the likelihood of capturing leads from your listings.
How to Set Up Your Featured Message and Call to Action
The Featured Message section lets you add a call to action to your listing, a prompt that tells customers what you want them to do when they see your listing. In the Featured Message text field, enter the action you want customers to take, such as "Book your appointment today" or "Request a free quote." In the URL field below the text field, enter the link that the call to action button will send customers to. To link customers directly to your online scheduler or client portal, navigate to Client Portal in Thryv, click Create Direct Links and copy the specific link you want to use as your call to action destination.
How to Enter Your Business Hours
Enter your regular business hours in the Business Hours section. Accurate business hours are critical because listing partner sites and search engines display your business as Open or Closed in real time based on the hours you provide. Incorrect hours can cause customers to arrive when you are closed or assume your business is unavailable when it is not. To add hours for specific days when your schedule differs from your regular hours, such as holidays or special events, click Add More Holiday Hours and enter the date and adjusted hours for each exception.
How to Define Your Service Area
The Service Area section lets you define the geographic area your business serves. Defining a service area is required if you chose to hide your business address in the Business Address section, without either a visible physical address or a defined service area, Google will not list your business in search results. If your business operates at a fixed location and customers come to you (such as a retail shop or salon), a service area is not required. If your business travels to customers (such as a plumber, landscaper, or mobile service), define your service area by city and state to ensure customers in your coverage zone can find your listing.
How to Select Accepted Payment Methods
In the Payments section, check every payment method your business currently accepts. Including accurate payment method information on your listings helps customers know they can pay the way they prefer before they contact you, which removes a potential barrier to booking. Payment methods listed on your profile typically include options such as cash, check and major credit cards. Select all that apply to your business.
How to Add Your Website and Call to Action URLs
Enter your primary business website address in the Main Website URL field. Below the Main Website field, additional URL fields are available for specific calls to action on partner listing sites. For fields such as Reservations, enter the most direct link possible rather than a generic homepage URL. To link a Reservations field directly to your appointment scheduler, navigate to Client Portal in Thryv, click Create Direct Links and copy the Schedule Appointment link. Pasting a direct booking link into the Reservations field means a customer who clicks the link on your listing can schedule an appointment in one step.
How to Add Your Social Media Account Links
Enter the URLs for your business social media accounts in the Social Media section of the Listings Profile form. A separate input field is available for each social media platform. Adding social media links to your listing profile makes your social accounts discoverable from your listings and gives customers additional ways to engage with your business content. Enter only URLs for social accounts that are active and regularly updated.
How to Add Photos to Your Listings Profile
Photos are one of the most impactful elements of a listing. Listings with photos consistently outperform listings without photos in visibility and customer engagement, photos give potential customers a reason to trust your business before they contact you. Photos added to the Photo Gallery section of the Listings Profile are distributed to all partner listing sites that support photos. To add a photo, click the + icon in the Photo Gallery section. Your device's file browser will open. Select up to 8 photos. Choose photos that are clear, professional and relevant to your services. Return to the Photo Gallery periodically to keep your photos current.
After completing all sections of the Listings Profile, your profile strength indicator will reflect the improvements you have made. Within 48 hours, your updated listing information will be sent to all partner publisher sites.
How to Activate Your Enhanced Profiles
Enhanced Profiles give your business increased visibility and a more prominent presence on three specific listing partner sites: Nextdoor, Yahoo and YP. Activating an Enhanced Profile on YP also extends the enhanced listing to SuperPages.com and DexKnows.com. Enhanced Profiles are available at the bottom of your Listings Profile form. To activate an Enhanced Profile on any of these three sites, set the toggle for that site to Enabled. Allow up to one week for an activated Enhanced Profile to publish and become visible on the partner site.
A Call Tracking Number is also available for each Enhanced Profile. A Call Tracking Number is a unique phone number that appears only on that specific Enhanced Profile listing. Calls to the Call Tracking Number are automatically forwarded to your main business phone. Because the number is unique to that profile, Thryv can record call data associated with it so you can track how many calls each Enhanced Profile generates. To enable a Call Tracking Number on an Enhanced Profile, set the Call Tracking Number toggle to Enabled within that profile's settings.

How to View the Status of Your Listings
After your listing information is submitted to partner sites, you can monitor the status of each listing from the Listings dashboard in Thryv. The Listings dashboard is divided into three sections: a high-level overview, an interactive view and an unavailable listings section.
High-Level Overview
The high-level overview section at the top of the Listings dashboard displays the core information currently published in your listings, including your business name, address, phone number and website URL. The high-level overview also includes a link to edit your listing information and direct links to each of your activated Enhanced Profiles.
Interactive View
The interactive view section of the Listings dashboard displays all active listings in an interactive visual graph. Each listing partner site appears as an icon on the graph, with icon size scaled according to the traffic volume that site receives. Use the filter controls to display listings by category. The available filter categories are: Aggregators, Apps, Directories, Events, Maps, Search Engines, Social Media and Voice Assistants (including Siri and Alexa).
Unavailable Listings
The Unavailable Listings section at the bottom of the Listings dashboard displays any listing partner sites where your listing failed to connect, along with an error message explaining the reason for each failure. If a listing appears in the Unavailable Listings section, click the Support button next to the affected listing to contact the Thryv support team for help resolving the error.
How to View Your Listing Performance Metrics
Listing performance reporting shows you how your listings are performing across partner sites, including how often your listings appear in search results, how often customers click on them and how many calls your tracked phone numbers have received. To view listing performance, click View Performance in the top-right area of the Listings section. The performance report displays three metrics: Impressions (the number of times your listing appeared on a visitor's screen), Clicks (the number of times a visitor clicked on your listing) and Calls (the number of calls received by your tracked phone numbers).
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take for my listing information to appear on partner sites after I save my Listings Profile?
After you save your Listings Profile, Thryv submits your information to all partner publisher sites within 48 hours. Enhanced Profiles on Nextdoor, Yahoo and YP may take up to one week to publish after activation.
Can I add more than 8 photos to my Listings Profile?
The Photo Gallery in the Listings Profile supports a maximum of 8 photos at a time. To update your photos, return to the Photo Gallery in your Listings Profile, remove existing photos as needed and add new ones using the + icon.
Can I add more than 5 business categories?
Thryv recommends selecting up to 5 business categories because most listing partner sites only display a maximum of 5 categories per listing. Categories beyond 5 may not appear on all partner sites.
What happens if I hide my business address and do not define a service area?
If you hide your business address in the Business Address section and do not define a service area in the Service Area section, Google will not list your business in Google search results or Google Maps. To be listed on Google without a visible physical address, you must define a service area that covers the geographic area your business serves.
Does the View Performance button appear for all Thryv accounts?
The View Performance button on the Listings section is available for accounts that have Listings Management as a standalone service. These accounts were migrated from non-software Thryv products. For standard Thryv accounts, listing performance data is available under the Analytics tab rather than through the View Performance button on the Listings section.
