Why Use the ThryvPay Mobile Card Reader
The ThryvPay mobile card reader lets you accept payments in person from anywhere at your location, at a job site, or on the go. The card reader accepts chip, contactless, and swipe payments and connects to the ThryvPay app on your phone via Bluetooth. All transactions are protected with end-to-end encryption.
What You Need Before You Start
Before pairing your ThryvPay card reader, confirm the following:
The ThryvPay app is installed on your phone
Bluetooth is enabled on your phone
Your ThryvPay card reader has sufficient charge
How to Check and Charge Your ThryvPay Card Reader
Your ThryvPay card reader must have enough charge before it can be paired. To check the current charge level, press and release the power button once. The LED status indicators on the card reader will display one of the following five statuses:
Full charge — four solid green circles
75% charge — three solid green circles and one empty circle
50% charge — two solid green circles and two empty circles
25% charge — one solid green circle and three empty circles
Charging — one green circle, a charging symbol, and two empty circles
To charge your ThryvPay card reader, connect a USB-C cable to the USB-C port on the back of the device. Thryv recommends charging the card reader fully before pairing for the first time.
How to Pair Your ThryvPay Card Reader
Once your card reader is charged and Bluetooth is enabled on your phone, follow these steps to pair the device:
Open the ThryvPay app on your phone.
Tap the Bluetooth icon in the upper right-hand corner of the app. The ThryvPay app will begin searching for nearby devices.
Tap the name of your card reader when it appears in the list of available devices.
Confirm the connection. Once the card reader is successfully paired, the app will display a screen confirming that your connection was successful.
Your ThryvPay card reader is now paired and ready to accept payments.
