Software Updates
When you first receive your card reader, a software update will be required. This can take up to 15 minutes to complete.
The card reader will require periodic updates to continue accepting payments. You will be prompted to install any available firmware updates immediately after successfully pairing a device.
Note: the reader is required to be at least 50% charged to update firmware
Required updates will install automatically, and the reader will not be able to accept payments until the required update is complete.
Once the reader is paired, the green connection indicator will turn orange and read: Updating. It is normal for this to last for several minutes
The LED on the reader will flash blue when the update is downloading, and multiple colors while it is installing.
The reader may disconnect temporarily from your device after installation. Please wait for any additional updates to be installed and for the reader to reboot.
Once all updates have been downloaded and installed, the LED will turn solid blue, and the notifier in the upper right corner of the app will turn green and read, 1 device active
The card reader is now ready for use.
