    Hi Mark,

When it comes to rankings on Google Maps, theres a few things Google will take into account when showing you results. Google will base the results on distance (how close the business is to the person searching), relevance to the search inquiry, and prominence (how well-known a business is and is based off of how things like how many trustworthy websites link to yours or reviews you have). Through a mix of these factors, is how we get the search results from Google Maps.

If searching for your own business to get an idea of its ranking, the best would be to use the primary category for your listing, then the city your business is located in. Ex: Roof Repair, Dallas TX. It is important to also keep in mind competition. The more businesses identical to yours, the more your profile is competing for visibility.

I am including Google's article on business profile rankings here.

If you have any questions, just let us know.

    Thank you!
