Yahoo Local Listing Not Appearing in Search
Hi,
When I search for deck builders in Orland Park, IL, specifically on Yahoo Local Maps, it doesn’t appear in the results.
Could you take a look or let me know if there’s anything else that might be causing this?

Great question Adam! "Deck Builder" is not a category recognized by Yahoo, so there's no way to guarantee any business would appear there. You're listed on Yahoo as "Preconstruction Consulting." What we would recommend is to navigate to your Online Listings page in Thryv and add a closer category or two. Home Services > Contractors would be the best place to start.
From there, you also could look at your business description and potentially make some tweaks. For example, you could revise "AT Construction builds custom decks and installs windows " to "AT Construction is a deck builder and window installation company in..." so you're matching your desired keywords more closely.

Thanks for the clarification. How can I change my Yahoo category from “Preconstruction Consulting” to “Decks and Railings” instead? I’d like my listing to better reflect the work we do.

Thanks for being specific! Yahoo does have a category for "Decks and Railings" so we have synced this category on the back end. It may not appear in your account but you can verify on your Yahoo listing. Please note that it may take up to a week for the listing to update and for searches under that category to start showing.
