Creating a coupon to be used for a certain timeframe

I am trying to create a coupon that is good for appointments that are booked for the month of August only. I see where I can set the time that the coupon becomes active and expires but is there a way I can make it so the coupon can only be redeemed when booking for a particular month?

Great question Nicole! This is an interesting wrinkle to the coupon functionality. This is a great idea, but currently there isn't a setting for this in coupons or services. We are adding this idea to our feedback center to be voted on by other users.

In the meantime, there is a possible workaround, though it does come with some limitations. What you could do is clone the service the coupon is for, and give it a title letting users know it is for the coupon/special. Then, edit the service and click on Date-Specific Availability, where you can limit the days it is available. You can then set the service to only be available in August. Admittedly, the downside to this approach is that the default setting is to "On" for availability, meaning you will need to scroll ahead for the next few weeks after August and disable it one week at a time. I completely understand this is not ideal, but it is one way to potentially solve it. If any other Thryv users have a creative solution, let us know in the comments!!
