Refunding deposit paid using Thryvpay
A customer paid a deposit using Thryvpay and now wants their deposit back. When I go to hit refund in Thryv, it wants to refund the entire payment, including the Thryvpay fee.
For instance, client paid $5,492.48 but we only received $5,332.20 in our bank account because of the 3% fee.
Shouldn't we only be refunding $5,332.20, the amount that we saw in our bank account? Or do we have to "eat" that 3% fee?

Thanks for your question Stephen! When you click on refund in Thryv, it will refund the full amount to your customer, and the customer will receive the original amount that they paid, ignoring the processing fee. In this example, since they paid $5,492.48, they will receive $5,492.48.
On your end, the amount originally deposited to your account, in this case $5,332.20, would be withdrawn to recover the refund, plus ThryvPay has a refund fee of $0.10 per transaction.
If your intent is to pass the processing fee on to the customer, you would need to do a partial refund and set the amount to the desired amount for the refund. In this instance the customer would receive the exact amount set in the partial refund.
