SQL format to Excel.
AnsweredI have a business owner that is wanting to implement Thryv, but their current database workwave is stating they can only export information via SQL format. I researched this to see if this could be easily converted to CSV or Excel as they want to ensure an efficient transfer of data and this seems to be fairly easy, but I wanted to ensure that our support team during setup would be able to accomplish this transfer of 8k contacts as fast as possible from this type of formatting. Thank you in advanced for any help here!

Thanks for your question Jamie! You are correct that converting SQL to an Excel sheet is possible. This can be done in Excel through a Power Query.
- Open Excel and go to the Data tab.
- Click on Get Data > From Database > From SQL Server Database
- Enter the server and database name, and then click OK.
- Choose the option to either load the data or transform it using Power Query.
- In the Power Query editor, you can directly write your SQL query by going to Advanced Editor and pasting your SQL statement.
Once you have it converted to Excel, you can send this to support@thryv.com along with the account information to do the import. 8k contacts is no sweat for us!
Thanks and let us know if you run into anything else!0
