What Are Internal Documents in Thryv Business Center
An internal document is a file you attach to a client card that is visible to your staff only. Internal documents appear under the Added Internally section of the client card's Documents tab. Clients do not have access to internal documents and cannot view them through the client portal or any shared link. Internal documents are useful for storing notes, contracts, reference files, or any other materials your team needs quick access to when working with a specific client.
How to Add an Internal Document to a Client Card
To add an internal document, navigate to the client card for the client you want to add a document to. Click New on the client card, then click Internal Document. A window will open where you can add the document.
How to Upload a Document from Your Device
To upload a document from your device, click Upload Document in the Internal Document window. Select the file from your device and confirm the upload. The document will attach to the client card as an internal document once the upload is complete.
How to Add a Document from Your Saved Documents
To add a document you have already saved in Thryv Business Center, click the Select from "My Documents" dropdown in the Internal Document window. Check the box next to one or more documents you want to add. When you have selected all the documents you need, click Add. The selected documents will attach to the client card as internal documents.
How to View Internal Documents on a Client Card
To view internal documents on a client card, click Documents on the client card. Click the Added Internally dropdown to expand the list of internal documents attached to the client card. Any document that appears under Added Internally is visible to your staff only and cannot be accessed by the client.
