What is Marketing Center?
Marketing Center is a tool within Thryv to create and run advertisements online across various channels. It will scrape your current website for ad copy and images, and use this information to create a streamlined, omni-channel ad campaign with consistent branding. It will allow you to allocate your ad budget across these various channels, and provide recommendations along the way using machine learning to improve performance. Marketing Center will also track the performance of your website, and help you manage your Google Business Profile.

FAQ
Can I use Marketing Center for offline channels, such as trucks or billboards?
Yes! You can use generated Call Tracking Numbers for advertising on any channel you would like that will accept them, and track the performance of these channels in Marketing Center. Note that use of these channels will not be factored into your cost per conversion or any other financial information in Marketing Center as there is not a way to track your spend in these channels. What happens to my leads after they are captured by my ads?
The leads will be injected into your Thryv inbox. Thryv will create a client card for the lead based on the information it was able to capture. From there, you can use the tools available in Thryv to reach out to that lead and convert them into a long-lasting client! Click Here for a full guide to using the Thryv inbox to communicate with your leads and clients.
Can I use Marketing Center alongside my other digital marketing efforts?
It is not advisable to use Marketing Center in the same channel using the same categories and keywords, as you risk your own ads competing with each other. If you plan to use Marketing Center in conjunction with other online advertising efforts, make sure you are targeting a different geography, or using different categories/keywords.
Why can't I find my Marketing Center ads on Google?
Pay Per Click (PPC) on Google is not a subscription solution that guarantees an always-on, or vanity ad placement. Google will rotate paid ads based on the budget set, their price per keyword, and the amount of clicks already used. In other words, there is not a way to guarantee an exact date/time a Google ad will appear, no matter where the ad is purchased.
Do I have to use every channel available in Marketing Center?
No. If you want to avoid a certain channel, you can set your budget for that channel to 0. If you are advertising on that channel independently of Marketing Center you can ignore recommendations to move funds into that channel.
Can I opt out of providing or creating a Facebook or Instagram page?
Yes, you can choose not to enter information in these fields in the onboarding wizard. If you change your mind later and would like to add or create a page, you can contact our support team at 844-998-4798 or support@thryv.com
Where can I find reporting for my campaigns after they are created?
You can find reporting for individual campaigns under Campaigns, and you can find high-level data for the total of your campaigns under Analytics. Click Here for a full guide to Marketing Center analytics
How will I know where to allocate my advertising funds?
When creating your campaign, Marketing Center will ask you to set a goal for that campaign, either raising brand awareness or converting leads. Based on this goal, Marketing Center will start with a recommended spend based on your area, industry, and stated goal. Along the way, Marketing Center will make Recommendations based on your campaign's performance. Click Here for a full guide on recommendations.
Can I adjust my advertising budget based on seasonality?
Yes! You can either create a new campaign to target different keywords based on seasonality (such as targeting landscaping in the summer, and snow removal in the winter), or you could pause or lower the budget of your campaigns at any point in the year.
Is there a way I can contact a marketing expert for help?
Our support team can offer best practices, however they can not make changes on your behalf. Any changes made to your campaigns would have to be done by you.
What kind of efforts are in place to protect Marketing Center against fraudulent clicks?
There are two levels of protection. Marketing Center monitors and uses both human and automated processes to shut down any sites that are deemed as allowing “non-human” traffic and will suspend or terminate these sources at our discretion. Further, we detect any fraudulent conversions and clicks and will delete them accordingly.
Do I need to have a website to use Marketing Center?
Yes. Your website is where Marketing Center gets information about your business including ad copy and pictures. A website is needed to provide this information
What is a "Landing Page" and why would I want to send leads there rather than my website?
A landing page is designed with the sole purpose to convert more traffic by focusing on one call to action. A website is designed to provide customers general information about all aspects of your business, and give multiple ways to contact you. Landing pages are proven to convert leads better than a website because of their focus.
Are the impression/click/conversion estimates a guarantee?
The estimate is a daily opportunity target range and designed to offer an idea of historical performance stemming from similar types of businesses. While every effort is made to achieve the target, there is no guarantee of volume daily, monthly, or annually.
Can I add Marketing Center to multiple Thryvs?
Yes, however both Thryvs must have their own completely separate website URLs to deep link and potentially proxy. Also, each business would need a separate Google Business Profile.
