How Your Analytics Dashboard Helps Your Business Grow
The Analytics dashboard in Thryv gives you a detailed view of how your marketing is performing across your website, Google Business Profile, and enhanced listing profiles. Instead of logging into multiple platforms and piecing together reports manually, your Analytics dashboard consolidates impressions, calls, website traffic, and review activity into one place so you can see what's working, stop spending on what isn't, and make decisions based on real data.
This article covers the Analytics dashboard in detail, including how date filters work and what each reporting section tracks. To learn about the Overview dashboard where top-level metrics are surfaced first, see Monitor Your Marketing Performance with the Thryv Dashboard.
Understanding Your Analytics Date Filters
The date filter at the top of the Analytics dashboard controls the time period displayed across all sections of the page, including Google Business Profile performance, website metrics, enhanced profile stats, and call activity. Each filter option follows specific date logic that determines exactly which data is included. Understanding how these filters work will help you interpret your results accurately and avoid confusion when numbers look different across views.
To change the date range, click the date filter drop-down at the top of the Analytics dashboard and select one of the following options.
Last 7 Days
The Last 7 Days filter shows your performance data for the seven most recently completed days, not including today. For example, if today is Tuesday the 28th, this filter displays data from Tuesday the 21st through Monday the 27th. Today's activity is not included because the day is still in progress.
Month to Date
The Month to Date filter shows your performance data from the first day of the current calendar month through today. Month to Date is the only filter option that includes activity from the current day. Use this filter when you want the most current snapshot of how this month is going so far.
Last 4 Weeks / Last 12 Weeks
The Last 4 Weeks and Last 12 Weeks filters show your performance data for the last four or twelve fully completed weeks. The current week in progress is not included in either view.
Last 6 Months
The Last 6 Months filter shows your performance data for the six most recently completed calendar months. The current month is not included, even if you are near the end of it. For example, if today is in April, this filter displays data from October through March. April activity will not appear in this view until May 1st, when April becomes a completed month.
Last 12 Months
The Last 12 Months filter follows the same logic as Last 6 Months. This filter shows your performance data for the twelve most recently completed calendar months. The current month is not included.
Why Do My Numbers Look Different Across Date Filters?
Each filter covers a different date range, so it is normal for numbers to vary, sometimes significantly, when you switch between views. The most common source of confusion is comparing the Last 6 Months or Last 12 Months filter to shorter views like Month to Date or Last 7 Days. Because the longer views exclude the current month entirely, they may appear lower even when your recent performance is strong. For the most current view of your recent activity, use the Month to Date or Last 7 Days filter.
Google Business Profile Performance
Performance
The Google Business Profile section shows how your listing is performing in Google Search and Google Maps. Click through the various metrics to change the chart shown to see performance of your Google Business Profile in different categories.
Note: It will also display the completeness of your profile. As a general rule, a more complete profile will lead to better performance. Click on Complete Profile to be taken to the screen where you can add more information
Across the top are metrics about your Google Business Profile. Click on each metric to display a graph for that metric's performance over times. Here are definitions for each measurement:
- Search Views - Times that your business has appeared in a Google search
- Direct Searches - Times your business has been looked up by exact name or address
- Discovery Searches - Times that your business has appeared when someone has searched your category, product, or services, defined by what is listed on your Google My Business
- Map Views - Times a customer has found your business on Google Maps
- Website Visits - Times customers have clicked on the button on your Google My Business page to view your website (Note that this is only visits coming from the Google My Business page, not total visits).
- Direction Requests - When customers use Google Maps to request directions to your business address.
- Click To Call - Number of clicks on the call button on your Business Profile.
Google Reviews
The Google Reviews section displays the review performance on your Google Business Profile. The section shows your overall star rating and a graph of reviews received by month. To the right of the graph, your reviews are listed in chronological order with reviewer name, star rating, and review text.
To sort reviews by sentiment, click the Sentiments toggle. Thryv will scan the wording of each review and sort them into positive and negative categories based on tone.
To generate more reviews from your customers, click Share Review Link to copy a shareable link, or click Generate Short Link to create a shortened URL. Both options direct your customers to leave a review on your Google Business Profile.
Google Business Profile Settings
The Settings area within the Google Business Profile section contains two quick-access options for improving your listing.
- Complete your Google Business Profile — Add your business details, including contact information, categories, services, service areas, and hours. A more complete profile leads to better visibility in Google Search and Google Maps results.
- Show off your business — Upload photos and videos to highlight features of your business and engage your audience. Visual content helps your listing stand out and gives potential customers a better sense of what you offer.
Website Traffic Metrics
The Website section shows traffic and engagement data for your website.
Overall Performance
This section will show data about the performance of your website.
- Total Visitors - the total number of visitors to your website
- Visits Per Visitor - the average number of times a visitor went to your website in the last 30 days. This helps you understand the level of interest your visitors have with your site.
- Page Views - the count of times an individual page on your website was viewed.
- Avg Pages Per Visit - the average number of pages that a visitor viewed on your website during an individual session. This helps you understand visitor behavior and content pages they find helpful.
- Avg Visit Time - the average amount of time a visitor spends on your website. Average time on a site is typically 1-2 min, which helps you determine whether visitors spent enough time to read your content and interact with your site.
- Bounce Rate - This is the percentage of visitors who leave your website after viewing only one page
- Conversions - This includes total leads from all Thryv lead sources, including website forms.
- Conversion Rate - the percentage of visitors who engaged with your website, based on the definition of conversions above
Sessions by Device
The Sessions chart shows a day-by-day count of sessions on your website, broken out by desktop, mobile, and tablet. Use this chart to understand how your visitors are accessing your site and whether your site experience is optimized for the devices your customers are actually using.
Heatmap
The Heatmap is a visual overlay that shows where visitors are clicking on your website. Areas with a darker color indicate a higher density of clicks. Areas with a lighter color indicate fewer clicks. Use the Heatmap to identify which content, buttons, or links are drawing the most attention and which areas of your site visitors are ignoring. Enhanced Profile Performance
Performance
The Enhanced Profile section shows how your business listings across Thryv's network of enhanced profiles are performing. If you have a Growth Package, those statistics are also included in this section. A screenshot of this section displays three metric tiles followed by the Call Activity log below.
Note: If you have a Growth Package, those statistics will also be included.
- Impressions - The number of times a potential customer has seen your business profiles
- Clicks - The number of times a prospective customer has clicked into your profile to engage with it
- Calls - Calls made to your tracked phone numbers on your profiles, a measure of your leads in real-time.
Call Activity Log
The Call Activity log tracks the number of calls received through your tracked phone numbers and identifies unique calls, meaning the number of individual callers.
The log displays each call with the date, time, duration, and any lead information captured. Use the filters at the top of the log to narrow results by date range, sort by newest or oldest, or search for a specific call.
To listen to a recording of a call, click Play Call Audio next to the call entry. To attach an internal note to a call record, click Add Notes. Notes added here are internal only and are never visible to the caller or lead.
Thryv Leads
If you have Thryv Leads, your results will appear in this tab. For a full guide to Thryv Leads and its reporting, Click Here.
