The AI Website Builder changes that by turning your business details into a fully functional, professional digital storefront in moments. By simply answering a few prompts and selecting your preferred style, you can skip the design hurdles and go straight to growing your online presence. To access the website builder, click on Website in your left-hand navigation, then click on Start Building. 

Lay Your Digital Foundation

In the window that appears, get started by entering your Business Basics. In this screen, you will enter information about your business to be used on your new website:

• Business Name - For best SEO practices, make sure you enter your name exactly as it appears in your online listings for consistency
• Website - if you have one, enter the URL for your existing website here. ThryvAI will look at your existing website to get a feel for your brand and re-use any appropriate information. Note that this step is optional if you don't wish to use it or don't have an existing website.
• Business Category - Primary - Start typing your business category and select from the drop-down that appears as you type. If the exact category for your business doesn't appear, select the best match. ThryvAI will generate copy for your website with the goal of getting your website found in this category. 
• Business Description - Enter more information about your business to give more input into the creation of your site. If you offer additional services aside from your main category, this is the place to include those. Based on your business name and categories, Thryv will use AI to automatically generate a detailed business description. You can click on Suggest Again as many times as you like to keep iterating and come up with the perfect description.

Add Your Logo and Visual Elements

On the next screen, add your Branding Assets, which are visual elements to add to your website. The most important is your Business Logo. Upload your logo in the field provided.

Note: In the next step, Thryv will give the option to scrape your brand colors from your logo. Be mindful of the logo you choose and make sure it's the best representation of your brand.

As an optional step, you can add up to 8 additional images to be used on your site. ThryvAI will automatically use these images.

Set Your Website’s Personality

Your website is your digital handshake, and its voice should match your brand’s personality. In this step, you choose how the builder drafts your content to ensure it resonates with your target audience. Selecting a tone helps the AI create a consistent experience for your visitors from the very first sentence.

• Curated Voices: Choose from options like Professional, Enthusiastic, or Witty to define your site's personality.

• Real-World Examples: Every tone includes a sample phrase so you can immediately see how your messaging will sound.

• Automatic Content Generation: Once you pick a tone, the builder uses it to draft your page copy, ensuring your brand stays consistent throughout the site.

Establish Brand Consistency by Selecting Your Color Palette

Visitors often decide whether to trust a business in seconds based on visual consistency. If your website colors don't match your logo or marketing, it creates "brand friction." This screen solves that problem by aligning your entire digital storefront with your existing brand identity in a single click. On this screen, select a unified set of brand colors for your site. Don't worry, you will have the full ability to customize these colors in the editor after the site is built. 

Thryv can automatically extract a set of brand colors from the logo you uploaded in the previous step, or select one of the brand presets, then click Save and Continue.

By selecting a deliberate pairing, you ensure your site is readable, authoritative, and perfectly aligned with your brand’s unique personality.

• Skip the Guesswork with Preset Pairings: Use the "Choose from the pairings below" section to instantly apply combinations like "Modern Classic" or "Clean Minimal".

• Expertly Curated Aesthetics: These pairings are designed to ensure your headlines and body text complement each other perfectly across all screen sizes.

• Complete Creative Control: If you have a specific vision, you can manually select your Primary and Secondary Fonts from the dropdown menus to match your existing brand style.

• Risk-Free Selection: Your choices aren't permanent; you can always return to the Site Theme menu later to tweak your styles once you see your full site draft.

Edit and Launch Your Draft Site

From here, Thryv has everything it needs to build you a full professional website in about a minute, tailored specifically to your brand! You can browse our other tools while you wait, and when you return you can choose to launch the editor and make additional changes or publish your site. (Note that publishing websites requires a paid Thryv Signature plan).

When finished, your new draft site will be added to the website editor. To open up the draft to make edits or publish your site, click on Edit. 

This will open the full website editor. From here, you are able to make any changes desired to your newly created website. Your website is not published at this point, so you are able to freely experiment and create the perfect website!
