A high-volume website is only successful if those visitors stay, explore, and eventually take action. The Website Analytics page gives you a window into how people interact with your content once they land on your site. By monitoring behavior patterns, you can identify which parts of your site are capturing interest and which areas might need a quick update to better serve your customers.
To access your website analytics, click on Analytics in the left-hand navigation, then click on Website in the top row.

Here is a definition for each graph of how visitors interact with your website. What do these metrics mean for your business?
Total Visitors: The number of unique users who visited your site.
Visits Per Visitor (Interest Level): The average number of times a visitor returned. High numbers suggest your brand is staying top-of-mind.
Page Views: The total count of every page viewed across your entire site.
Avg Pages Per Visit (Content Value): This helps you understand if your navigation is easy to use and if visitors find your pages helpful.
Avg Visit Time (Readership): Use this to determine if visitors are staying long enough to read your content and engage with your services.
Bounce Rate (Friction Score): The percentage of visitors who leave after viewing only one page. Aim to keep this number low to ensure visitors explore more of your site.
Conversions & Conversion %: The number and percentage of visitors who took a valuable action, such as completing a form or scheduling an appointment.
Sessions by Device
This chart provides a day-by-day count of sessions divided by desktop, mobile, and tablet versions. This data is essential for understanding how your customers prefer to view your business. If your mobile traffic is high, ensure your most important information is easy to find on a smaller screen.
Conversion Funnel: Identify Your Best Leads
This chart breaks down the journey from visit to a confirmed action:
- Unique Website Visits: The number of individual customers who have viewed your website (ignoring repeat visits).
- Identified Website Visits: Visits where Thryv was able to determine the user's identity and other information.
- Website Conversions: The number of times a user took a measurable action (form fill, appointment schedule) with your business.
Heatmap: Optimize Your Layout
A Heatmap is a visual representation of where users click on your website. This is pure gold for optimization! A darker color indicates a higher density of clicks, showing you exactly what your customers are interested in. Note: The heatmap is a premium optimization tool available with paid versions of Thryv.
