How to Write High-Performing Prompts for ImageAI
To get the most professional results from ImageAI, you need to provide clear, descriptive instructions. A well-crafted prompt ensures that your social media graphics are relevant to your message and aligned with your business brand. By spending a few extra seconds on your description, you can generate unique visuals that capture attention and drive more engagement on every post.
Start with the Subject: Clearly name the main focus of the image. For example, instead of saying "a house," say "a modern suburban home with a manicured lawn."
Describe the Environment: Add details about the setting or background. You might specify "a sunny afternoon" or "a professional office interior."
Set the Style and Mood: Tell the system how the image should feel. Use descriptive words like "bright and airy," "warm and inviting," or "clean and professional."
Avoid Vague Words: Words like "thing," "stuff," or "something" do not give the system enough information to work with. Always use specific nouns.
Keep Text Out of the Prompt: ImageAI works best when creating visual scenes. If you need to add specific text or your business logo, it is better to do that in the Social Post Builder after the image is generated.
Limit Complex Groups: AI often performs better with one or two clear subjects. Instead of asking for "a crowded street with twenty people," try asking for "a happy family walking in a sunlit park."
Note: Allow several seconds (30–60 seconds depending on prompt complexity) to create your image. Generating images normally takes some time.
To use one or more images in your post, check the box in the upper left-hand corner of the image(s). Then, click on Add Images at the bottom of the window. To use all generated images, click on Select All.
Select a Size for Your Image
After entering the prompt, you'll need to select a size for your image. Click on one of the tiles shown to select the size. Only one size can be selected, even if you're generating multiple images. The sizes available are:
- 1:1 Square Post
- 1.91:1 Horizontal Post
- 4:5 Portrait
- 2:1 Landscape
- 2:3 Vertical Post
How to Refine and Regenerate Your ImageAI Prompts
If you want to make changes to the image generated on the first try, you don't have to start from scratch! To edit your prompt, click on the Edit Pencil Icon in the upper left corner next to Prompt. If the generated image does not meet your business needs, try adding more specific nouns or changing the style keywords (such as switching from 'modern' to 'rustic') and then click Generate again to produce a new set of options."

FAQ
How many images can I generate at my plan level?
Here is the amount of images that can be generated for each plan:
Free Trial Users: 5 images per month
Plus/Signature Users: 25 images per month
Unlimited/Premier Users: 100 images per month
Am I limited on images I can generate or use in a post?
The monthly limit applies to the number of images generated, even if you never use them in a post. All images generated are saved in your gallery. So you can always decide to go back and use them later.
Can I upload my own photo for ImageAI to edit?
No. At this time, ImageAI is designed to generate entirely new, unique images from a text description. It cannot "fix" or modify an existing photo that you have uploaded to your gallery. If you need to edit an existing image, you should use the standard Image Editor tool within the Social Post Builder.
Can I specify my brand colors in a prompt? Yes. To ensure your generated graphics match your business branding, you should include specific color names in your prompt. For example, instead of "a professional background," try using "a professional office background with accents of navy blue and gold." Being specific about colors helps the AI align the visual output with your existing brand identity.
Can I enter my prompt in Spanish?
Yes! All of the same suggestions above apply, make sure you are specific and descriptive with your prompt to generate a high quality image.
