Why Requesting a Re-Upload Saves You Time
When a client's document shows as unavailable in Thryv, you do not need to chase the client manually or start the document request process from scratch. Thryv lets you send a re-upload request directly from the document, so your client receives a direct link to re-submit the file through their client portal. This keeps your workflow moving without back-and-forth emails or lost paperwork.
How to Request a Client to Re-Upload a Document
If a document submitted by a client shows as unavailable, follow these steps to request the client re-upload the file.
- Open the unavailable document
Locate the unavailable document in your documents section. The document will be flagged as unavailable, indicating the file cannot be accessed.
- Send the re-upload request
Click Request file. A pre-filled email invite will appear containing a message prompting the client to re-upload their document. The email includes a secure link directing the client to their client portal. Click Send to deliver the request to the client.
- Client re-uploads the document
The client will receive the email and click the link to access their client portal. Inside the client portal, the client can re-upload the document. Once the client completes the upload, the document becomes accessible to both you and the client immediately.
What Happens After the Client Re-Uploads
Once the client re-uploads the document, Thryv restores access to the file automatically. Any existing links to the document including links used in campaigns, your website, or other locations will reconnect to the newly uploaded document without requiring any updates on your end.
