If a group event was a success and you want to run it again, you do not have to set it up from scratch. Duplicating a group event in Thryv Business Center creates an exact copy of the event so you can update the date and time and get it ready to go in minutes. This article covers how to duplicate a group event and how to invite previous attendees to register for the new event.
How to Duplicate a Group Event in Thryv Business Center
To duplicate a group event, navigate to the group event you want to duplicate.
Click Duplicate on the event page.
Thryv Business Center creates an exact copy of the event and opens the new event on the next screen. Select the date and time for the new event and make any other changes you need before saving.
Note: The list of registered clients from the original event is not duplicated. The new event will have no registered clients. You will need to register clients for the new event separately. To invite previous attendees to register, see the How to Invite Previous Attendees to the New Event.
How to Invite Previous Attendees to Register for the New Event
If you want the same clients to attend the new event, you can send them the registration link for the new event directly from the previous event in one step. Start by copying the registration link for the new event. Navigate to the new duplicated event and scroll down to the Registration Link field. Click Copy to copy the registration link.
Once the registration link is copied, navigate to the previous event. Click Send To All, then click Message. Paste the registration link into the message field and add a message inviting your clients to register for the new event. Send the message to notify all previous attendees at once.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does duplicating an event also copy the registered client list?
No. Duplicating a group event copies the event details (such as the event name, description, and settings) but does not copy the list of registered clients. You will need to register clients for the new event separately or invite previous attendees to register using the Send To All message method described in this article.
