With the Keap connector for Claude, you can chat with generative AI to ask questions and perform actions in your Keap account. Just use simple natural language to say what you want to know or do. Keap + Claude makes AI an easy and simple part of your small business workflow – all so you can better nurture your customer relationships and grow your business even bigger.
Claude is a highly intelligent LLM designed to be helpful, honest, and harmless across complex reasoning, coding, and data analysis tasks. Built with a unique "Constitutional AI" framework, it serves as a trustworthy partner for both individual users and enterprise-scale workflows. In this instance, it is also directly integrated with your Keap account to use generative AI to answer complex questions and perform tasks on your behalf as your assistant within your Keap software.

Expand usage – Others in your business who are less familiar with Keap can just use simple chat to understand and enhance your sales and marketing.
What the Claude Connector Can Do
The Claude integration for Keap is like hiring a dedicated team member who has memorized your entire account and the Keap manual. Instead of clicking through menus and searching for data, you simply talk to Claude. It’s a faster, more natural way to manage your business, allowing you to stay focused on your customers while your assistant handles the busy work.
When in doubt, just ask Claude – “What can I do in Keap?”
Most things you can do in the Keap web application can also be done through the Claude connector. For example, manage contacts, tags, companies, notes, tasks, opportunities, automations (listing automations and adding contacts to existing automations, but not creating new automations), products, users, affiliates, business profiles, and more.
More specifically, most things from the Keap REST API are included. However, delete functions are not included, as a guardrail to make sure you or AI do not accidentally delete your data. You can still delete records through the Keap web application.
If a function is not yet available directly through the Claude connector, then Claude will provide sample content and guide you on how to achieve that directly through the Keap web application.
Advanced Strategies: Maximizing Your AI Digital Assistant
Once you’ve tried a few easy questions, it’s time for you to really take AI chat to the limit:

Push to the limits – Ask AI anything you like, from big to small. Test it with a normal use case from your daily life and then push it to its limit.
AI chat is in beta, so it may not work in all use cases. We need your help to test and identify these situations!
AI can make mistakes. Please double check all responses.
Strategy not just actions – AI is more than just a do-er. It can be a strategic partner that helps you to make the right decision, all informed by the data it sees in your account. Ask it for help on making important decisions, so you can consider all aspects.
Go beyond – Ask it anything about Keap and small business CRMs in general. We’d love to hear what new things you’ve tried and what original workflows are now possible.
Extra: With the Claude connector, you can also link your Keap data with any existing Claude context, including past conversations, items in memory, other connectors, web search, etc for an even richer and more quality experience chatting with AI.

Set Up the Connector
Click on Browse connectors.
Search for Keap.
Click the '+' Connect button.
Log in to your Keap account. You will need to login with the new Thryv login experience.
You will return to https://claude.ai/settings/connectors and should see Keap as an active connector.
Optional: Enable the Connector Per Chat
Most new chats in Claude will have all connectors enabled on by default, including Keap. However, you can enable and disable connectors per chat if you want to limit the abilities available to Claude.
Open a new chat in Claude.
Click the + icon (Search and tools) on the bottom-left.
Go to Connectors.
Make sure that Keap is toggled on.
Ask Claude whatever you like. Claude will query and ask Keap whatever it needs to respond to your request.

Explore and Manage Contacts
Create a new contact. I spoke with John Doe on December 10. He is not ready to buy yet; he needs to focus on hiring two sales representatives first. His long-term goal is to expand his business into the Pacific Northwest region. He plans to follow up again in April 2026.
Using Keap CRM, list my contacts created in 2025, including their first name, last name, email, company name, and any associated tags.
Organize these contacts in a spreadsheet in chronological order.

Best Practices & Troubleshooting
Try it with the Claude mobile app (iOS or Android), the Claude desktop app (macOS or Windows), or the Claude web application (any web browser like Chrome or Firefox). You might find certain platforms better for certain situations, like mobile for voice mode or when on the go, or desktop for deep working sessions at your office with other artifacts.
If Claude is not actively using the Keap connector when responding to your request, then:
Explicitly prompt it – Add ‘in Keap’ to the end of your message. For example: “Show my 10 most recent contacts in Keap” to encourage it to use the connector.
Connection may be lost – Go to https://claude.ai/settings/connectors, disconnect, and reconnect.
Connector may be disabled – Check that you enabled the connector for this specific chat. See previous section.
Disconnect the Connector
Next to Keap, click the … ellipses and then Disconnect.
Common Concerns on Data Privacy
Data for training – Your data is not used to train Claude’s models, except when you specifically choose to provide feedback or opt into its training. Please refer to the terms (consumer & commercial) in your specific Anthropic plan.
Data for competitors – Your data is not used to train Claude’s models in most cases. Read and understand your Anthropic license terms (commercial or consumer) to understand how your data is used, as well as review Anthropic’s Trust Center. Similarly, you only have access to those accounts you have access to on the Keap web application. With the connector, you do not have access to any other competitor’s CRM data/accounts nor can they access your data.
Data for partners – If you are a partner or otherwise have access to several Keap accounts, you can only use the connector for one single app/account at a time. Simply ask Claude “What Keap app ID am I on?” to see which app ID the connector is linked to. Visit https://accounts.keap.app/accounts (or ask Claude “Which Keap apps can I access?) to see which apps you can explore. Then ask Claude to change over, such as: “Switch me to app ID onb123.”
Hallucinations & Errors
Claude is generative AI. It can make mistakes (“hallucinate” facts) and can not be trusted 100% of the time. Here are some tips to reduce the likelihood that AI errors will cause issues:
A real human should check any AI output, especially if it used to make major decisions.
Keep your Keap data current and accurate. The old adage of “garbage in, garbage out” still applies in the era of generative AI.
Ask AI to provide sources or to go deeper to explain its reasoning. Prompting it to rely and cite its sources reduces the likelihood it will make up a fact.
