What Thryv Workforce Center Does for Your Business
Thryv Workforce Center™ adds payroll and team management capabilities directly to your existing Thryv account. Activating Thryv Workforce Center gives your business three core advantages. First, you manage your clients, marketing and payroll from a single login, no separate payroll software required. Second, payroll processing and tax filing run automatically in the background, reducing the manual work and risk of errors that come with tax season. Third, your employees get a secure, self-service way to clock in, track their hours and view their own pay information without needing to contact you directly.
What to Gather Before You Begin Setup
If you choose to complete the Thryv Workforce Center setup yourself, the guided self-setup process takes approximately 20 minutes. Before you begin, gather the following business information so you can complete each step without interruption:
- Business address
- Bank account information for payroll deposits
- Pay schedule (for example, weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly)
- Taxpayer type and filing status
- State unemployment tax rate
You will also need the following information for each employee you plan to add to Thryv Workforce Center during setup:
- Full name and email address
- Hire date
- Pay rate
- Work location, if different from your primary business address
- Date of birth
- Social Security Number
- Federal and state tax elections, if applicable
How to Add Thryv Workforce Center to Your Account
Step 1: Open Thryv Workforce Center from the Navigation Menu
To begin adding Thryv Workforce Center to your account, click the Navigation icon in Thryv. In the navigation menu that appears, click Thryv Workforce Center. The Thryv Workforce Center overview screen will open.
Step 2: Review the Thryv Workforce Center Overview and Click Get Started
The Thryv Workforce Center overview screen displays a summary of what Thryv Workforce Center includes and how it works with your existing Thryv account. To proceed with adding Thryv Workforce Center to your account, click Get Started on the overview screen.
Step 3: Confirm Your Legal Business Name and FEIN
After clicking Get Started, Thryv will display your Legal Business Name and Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) for you to review. Thryv Workforce Center uses your Legal Business Name and FEIN for payroll tax filing, so both must be correct before you proceed. Review the Legal Business Name and FEIN displayed on screen. If either value is incorrect, do not proceed, your Legal Business Name and FEIN cannot be edited from the Workforce Center activation screen. Once you have confirmed that your Legal Business Name and FEIN are correct, click Set up my Workforce Center.
Step 4: Choose Self-Guided Setup or Expert-Assisted Setup
After clicking Set up my Workforce Center, Thryv will present two options for completing your payroll setup: self-guided setup or scheduling time with a Thryv setup expert. The self-guided setup walks you through each required step in approximately 20 minutes and requires the business and employee information listed in the What to Gather Before You Begin Setup section of this article. What to Do After Setup: Run Your First Payroll
After completing Thryv Workforce Center setup, the next step is to run payroll before your next scheduled pay date. Running payroll for the first time in Thryv Workforce Center requires you to confirm your payment information and authorize the first payroll run. Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to contact a salesperson to add Thryv Workforce Center to my account?
No. You can add Thryv Workforce Center to your Thryv account directly by clicking the Navigation icon in Thryv, selecting Thryv Workforce Center and clicking Get Started on the overview screen. No salesperson involvement is required.
Can I change my Legal Business Name or FEIN during the Thryv Workforce Center activation?
No. Your Legal Business Name and FEIN cannot be edited from the Thryv Workforce Center activation screen. If either value is incorrect, click the link on the activation screen to navigate to My Account and update the information before returning to complete the Workforce Center activation.
When does Thryv Workforce Center become active on my subscription?
Thryv Workforce Center is added to your Thryv subscription when you confirm your payment information and complete your first payroll run. Completing the setup wizard alone does not activate the subscription, the subscription activates at the point of the first payroll payment.
