Data is only useful if it answers the specific questions you have about your business. While standard reports are helpful, you often need to see performance for a specific time window, such as a single promotional week, a quarterly growth push, or the exact duration of a recent campaign.
Setting a custom date range for your report allows you to:
Pinpoint Performance: Specify exact start and end dates to isolate the results of a specific marketing effort or operational change.
Validate Strategy: Quickly compare custom date ranges (e.g., this holiday season versus last holiday season) to validate the effectiveness of your long-term business strategy.
Simplify Reporting: Eliminate the hassle of exporting and cleaning up irrelevant data points, ensuring your report contains only the information needed for critical decision-making.
To set your report to a custom date range, click on the date drop-down. Note that this works for the master date range for all metrics in a report, or the date for an individual metric.
When Custom Date Range is selected, the date picker will appear. First, click on the start date for your custom range. Then, click on the end date. All days in between will be shaded to indicate they are part of the custom range.
Data for the custom range will appear on the card for this metric.
