Thryv Business Center allows you to attach a resource to your appointment, along with a staff member. In this context, a resource is anything with limited capacity that is occupied by the appointment. Some examples include conference rooms, vehicles, party rentals, and equipment (like photography gear or specialized tools) or a private treatment room in a spa.
Create Resources
To add Resources, navigate to Settings, then click on Resources
To add a new resource type, click on New Resource Type in the top right. This will create a category of resources. You will be able to create individual resources within it in the next step. For example, if you offer horseback riding, then the resource type would be "horses," and the names of the horses would be individual resources within the resource type.
In the window that appears, enter a name for this resource type. This name will be displayed to your customer in the appointment notification. Enter the maximum quantity you have of this resource. This will set the maximum limit that services using this resource can be booked simultaneously.
The resource will appear in your resource list. Click on it to edit, as you will need to link it to a service.
In the menu that appears, you have the option to name each instance of this resource individually. Enter a name in each field. To delete an instance of a resource, click on the trash can icon. To add an additional resource, click on + Add Resource.
In order to be booked, a resource must be attached to a service. This must be done from the service screen. To attach the resource to a service, navigate to that service in your settings.
To attach the resource type to this service, check the box for it. When this box is checked, at least one resource from this resource type must be available in order for the service to be booked. If all of the resources in this type are booked at a given time, that time will show as unavailable for this service in your online booking.
