The Add to Sequence step lets you place a contact directly into a specific sequence within an automation, instead of requiring the contact to enter the automation from the beginning. The contact is added to the start of the selected sequence. If a timer or scheduled step within that sequence has already passed, the contact will move ahead automatically to the next applicable step.
How to Add a Contact to a Specific Sequence in Your Automation Builder
- Drag the Add to sequence step onto the automation canvas and place it at the point in your automation where you want contacts to be routed into the specific sequence.
- Click the Add or remove from sequence icon on the Add to sequence step. Then click View and edit to open the sequence selection panel.
- Select the automation you want to add the contact to from the automation list. Then select the specific sequence within that automation where the contact should be placed. The contact will be added to the start of the selected sequence when they reach this step in your automation.
