Why Mark a Message as Unread
Marking a conversation as unread on your Keap Business Line is a quick way to flag a message you need to follow up on later. Unread conversations appear with a badge in your Communications tab so they are easy to find. There are two ways to mark a conversation as unread — by swiping the conversation row or by tapping a specific message inside a thread.
Note: The mark as unread option is available for text message conversations only. It is not available for call log entries.
How to Mark a Conversation as Unread by Swiping
- Open the Communications tab in the Keap Mobile app.
- In the conversations list, swipe the conversation you want to mark from right to left to reveal the conversation action buttons.
Tap Unread from the action buttons that appear.
Swiping the conversation row from right to left reveals the action buttons. The Unread button is displayed alongside any other available swipe actions for that conversation.
The conversation is now marked as unread and displays a badge indicating one unread item.
The unread badge appears on the left side of the conversation row. The badge remains visible until you open the conversation or mark it as read.
To mark an unread conversation as read, swipe the conversation from right to left again and tap Read from the action buttons.
Using the same right-to-left swipe gesture on a conversation that is already marked as unread reveals the Read button, which removes the unread badge.
How to Mark a Specific Message as Unread
- Open the Communications tab in the Keap Mobile app.
- Tap the conversation thread you want to open.
- Inside the thread, tap and hold on the specific message you want to mark as unread to open the message options.
- Tap Mark as unread from the message options.
An unread indicator is added to the conversation thread, marking it as requiring follow-up.
The unread indicator appears in the thread at the position of the message you marked. The conversation thread also displays an unread badge in the Communications tab until you return to the thread.
How to View All Unread Conversations
To see all conversations that are currently marked as unread, tap the Unread tab at the top of the Communications section. The Unread tab filters the conversations list to show only conversations with an unread badge.
The Unread tab displays all conversations requiring follow-up in one place, so you can work through them without searching through the full conversations list.
