What You Need Before Sending a Picture Message

Sending picture messages (MMS) through Keap Business Line lets you share images directly with contacts in a text message conversation — from your mobile device, without switching to a separate app. You can attach a photo and add a written message in the same send, or send the image on its own.

Sending MMS picture messages requires the Keap Mobile app and an active Keap Business Line — see how to install the Keap Mobile app on your iOS or Android device. This feature is not available in Text Marketing. Text Marketing is a separate feature used for sending broadcast text messages to contact lists and does not support MMS picture messages.

The Keap Business Line MMS feature supports the following image file types: PNG, JPG, and TIFF. Other file types — such as PDF, GIF, or video files — are not supported and will not appear as selectable when you open the image picker.

How to Send a Picture Message in Keap Business Line

1. Open the Keap Mobile app and navigate to the message conversation for the contact you want to send the picture to. The message conversation displays the full text message history with that contact and the message input field at the bottom of the screen.

2. Tap the Picture icon located below the message input field to open the image picker. The Picture icon is displayed in the toolbar directly below the text input field in the conversation view.

   

   The message conversation view displays the message input field at the bottom of the screen. The toolbar below the input field contains the Picture icon. Tapping the Picture icon opens the image picker so you can select an image from your device.

3. In the image picker, select the picture you want to send. Only PNG, JPG, and TIFF image files will appear as selectable options in the image picker. Files in other formats will not be available for selection.

   

   The image picker displays a grid of photos from your device's photo library. Only PNG, JPG, and TIFF image files are displayed and available for selection. After selecting an image, the image picker closes and the selected image appears as an attachment in the message conversation view.

4. After selecting your image, you can optionally type a written message in the message input field to accompany the picture. The written message and the picture will be sent together in the same MMS message.

   

   The message conversation view shows the selected image displayed as an attachment above the message input field. A written message has been typed in the input field below the image. Both the image attachment and the written message will be included when the message is sent.

5. Tap Send to send the picture message to the contact. The picture message will appear in the conversation thread after it is sent.

Limitations

• MMS picture messages in Keap Business Line support PNG, JPG, and TIFF file types only. PDF, GIF, and video files are not supported.
• This feature is available in Keap Business Line only. MMS picture messages are not available in Text Marketing.
• Sending MMS picture messages requires the Keap Mobile app. This feature is not available in the desktop version of the app.
