Why Set Up Call Forwarding on Your Keap Business Line
Keap Business Line lets you connect your existing mobile device to your business phone number so you can make and receive business calls without carrying a separate phone. Call forwarding extends this further — you can forward inbound calls to up to five phone numbers simultaneously, so an entire team can receive business calls at the same time. When any team member answers, all other devices stop ringing. In a speed-to-lead environment, this ensures the first available person picks up every call.
Availability: Keap Business Line and call forwarding are available in the United States and Canada only.
SMS notifications: All active users in your app will receive a notification on their device when a text message arrives on your Keap Business Line — even if their device is not set up to receive forwarded calls.
Testing call forwarding: To test your call forwarding settings, call your Keap Business Line from a device other than the one set up to receive forwarded calls. Calling your Keap Business Line number from the forwarded device will send the call to voicemail.
How to Access Phone Number Settings
All call forwarding configuration is done in the Calling section of your Keap Mobile app settings. Follow these steps to access the settings before completing any of the procedures below.
- Tap the gear icon (Settings) in the lower-right corner of the Keap Mobile app screen to open the Settings section.
- Tap My business line to open the business line settings.
- Tap Call routing to open the call routing and forwarding settings.
How to Change the Phone Number That Receives Keap Business Line Calls
- Follow the steps in the How to Access Phone Number Settings section above to open the Call routing settings.
- Scroll down to the Receive inbound Keap calls section, which lists all phone numbers currently configured to receive forwarded calls.
- Tap the phone number you want to change to open the number editing screen.
- Update the phone number field with the new number that should receive your Keap Business Line calls.
- Tap the back button to save the change and return to the Call routing settings.
How to Add an Additional Call Forwarding Number
You can add up to five phone numbers in total to receive inbound Keap Business Line calls simultaneously.
- Follow the steps in the How to Access Phone Number Settings section above to open the Call routing settings.
- Scroll down to the Receive inbound Keap calls section.
- Tap +Add numbers to open the add number screen.
- Enter a name to identify this forwarding number and enter the phone number.
- Tap Done to save the new forwarding number. The number will appear in the Receive inbound Keap calls list and will ring simultaneously with all other forwarding numbers when an inbound call comes in.
How to Delete a Call Forwarding Number
Note: At least one call forwarding number must remain configured at all times. You cannot delete all forwarding numbers — a minimum of one must be kept.
- Follow the steps in the How to Access Phone Number Settings section above to open the Call routing settings.
- Scroll down to the Receive inbound Keap calls section.
- Tap the forwarding number you want to delete to open the number detail screen.
- Tap the trash bin icon to initiate the deletion.
- Confirm that you want to delete the forwarding number. The number will be removed from the Receive inbound Keap calls list immediately after confirmation.

You can set up to five phone numbers to receive inbound Keap Business Line calls simultaneously.
Can each person on the forwarding list also make outbound calls with Keap Business Line?
No. Only your designated outbound calling number can make outbound calls through Keap Business Line. Additional forwarding numbers can only receive inbound calls.
What happens when an inbound call comes in with multiple forwarding numbers set up?
When an inbound call arrives on your Keap Business Line, all configured forwarding numbers ring at the same time. As soon as any person answers, all other devices stop ringing immediately.
What happens if two people answer the call at the same time?
The person who connects first stays on the line. The second person to connect is automatically disconnected.
Does each person on the forwarding list need the Keap Mobile app installed to receive calls?
No. Any phone number can receive forwarded calls regardless of whether the device has the Keap Mobile app installed. This means you can forward calls to a mobile phone without the app, or even to a landline.
Does caller ID work with multi-number call forwarding?
It depends on whether the receiving device has the Keap Mobile app installed. Devices that have the Keap Mobile app installed and are signed in to your account will display the caller's contact information using Keap caller ID. Devices that do not have the Keap Mobile app installed will display your Keap Business Line forwarding number on their device's native caller ID instead.
