This article covers how to export contact data from Keap™, including all standard fields and custom fields. Exports of 1,000 contacts or fewer download immediately as a CSV file. Exports of 1,001 contacts or more are sent as a download link by email.
Note: Tags cannot be exported as part of the contact export. Keap Pro and Keap Max users can use the Tag Tracker report to match exported contact IDs with applied tags.
Export Contacts

Navigate to Contacts, then select People in the left navigation. To filter the contact list before exporting, see how to create and manage contact groups in Keap.

Select the contacts to export. To export all contacts, check the Select All box at the top of the list.

Select Export at the bottom of the page.

The export process depends on the number of contacts selected:

1,000 contacts or fewer — The export downloads immediately as a CSV file.

1,001 contacts or more — Enter an email address to receive a download link. Optionally enter a name for the export file. The account email address is pre-filled but can be changed to any address. The recipient must be able to log in to Keap to download the file.

For large exports of 1,001 or more contacts, complete the following additional steps after selecting Ok, got it:

Check the email inbox for the export email. If the export was given a name, it appears in the email subject line.

Select Download your export in the email.

If the Keap session has timed out or a new device is being used, a login prompt may appear before the download begins.

The export file downloads automatically. Select Ok, got it to dismiss the confirmation.

Locate the downloaded CSV file on the device to access the exported contact data.

What email address is the export email sent from?
Export emails are sent from noreply@keap.app.
How long is the export download link valid?
The download link in the export email is valid for 24 hours from the time the export was requested.
Can tags and notes be exported along with contacts?
Notes and tags are not included in the contact export. Notes can be exported separately by navigating to Reports and selecting Task Note Report. For tags, Keap Pro and Keap Max users can use the Tag Tracker report to match exported contact IDs with applied tags.
Why has the export email not arrived?
If the export email has not arrived, contact Keap support for assistance. Accounts that are unable to send marketing or transactional emails may also be prevented from receiving export download links.
