What You Can Do with Keap Business Line Outbound Calling
Keap Business Line lets you make and receive business calls from your personal mobile device using a dedicated business phone number. You can call any contact saved in your CRM or dial a new number directly from the app. Outbound calling can be configured for up to five users on the same Keap Business Line — each user on your team simply downloads the Keap Mobile app and registers their device to start making calls.
Availability: Keap Business Line can only make and receive calls to and from US and Canadian phone numbers.
Note on routing numbers: When you place an outbound call through Keap Business Line, the phone number displayed on your device's screen may be different from your contact's phone number. This is your call routing number — it connects your Keap Business Line to the contact's phone number and is expected behavior.
How to Set Your Outbound Phone Number
Before making outbound calls, you must register the physical phone number of your device as your outbound calling number. This must be the actual SIM card number for the device — virtual numbers such as Google Voice are not supported.
Tap the gear icon in the Keap Mobile app to open the Settings page.
Tap My Business Line to open the Business Line settings.
Tap Call routing to open the call routing configuration.
In the Make outbound Keap calls section, tap your current phone number to open the number editing screen.
The Make outbound Keap calls section displays the phone number currently registered for outbound calling. Tap the number to edit it.
Update the phone number field with your device's phone number. Enter the physical SIM card number for your device — virtual numbers are not supported.
Tap Send code to receive a verification code by text message on the device.
Enter the verification code sent to your device in the code field and submit to complete the outbound number setup.
After the verification code is accepted, your device's phone number is registered as the outbound calling number and you can begin making calls through Keap Business Line.
How to Make a Call with Keap Business Line
Call a New Phone Number
Tap the blue + button on the main screen of the Keap Mobile app.
Tap Place a call from the menu that appears.
Enter the phone number you want to call using the keypad.
Tap the green phone button to place the call.
Call an Existing Contact by Searching
Tap the blue + button on the main screen.
Tap Place a call from the menu.
Tap the magnifying glass icon in the upper-right corner to open contact search.
Search for the contact you want to call and tap their name to place the call immediately.
Call a Contact from Their Contact Record
Navigate to the contact record for the person you want to call. The contact must have a phone number saved on their record.
Tap the Call button on the contact record to place the call through Keap Business Line.
How to Add Additional Users to Outbound Calling
You can enable up to four additional users to make outbound calls through your Keap Business Line, for a total of five users including yourself. Each user must register their own device's phone number through the steps below.
Tap the gear icon to open the Settings page.
Tap My Business Line.
Tap Call routing.
In the Make outbound Keap calls section, tap +Add numbers to open the add device screen.
Enter a name to identify the new device — for example, the team member's name.
Enter the device's phone number. This must be the physical SIM card number for that device.
Tap Send code in the upper-right corner to send a verification code to the new device.
The new device user enters the verification code received by text in the Enter code field and submits it to complete the setup. Once the code is accepted, outbound calling is enabled for that device.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do my incoming callers hear a message that my phone number is only set up for SMS messages?
This usually means your device's phone number has not been properly registered as your outbound calling number. Follow the steps in the How to Set Your Outbound Phone Number section above to verify your number is set correctly in Settings. If the issue persists after verifying your settings, uninstall and reinstall the Keap Mobile app. You may need to re-register your phone number after reinstalling.
Does each user get their own Keap Business Line, or do they share the existing one?
There is only one Keap Business Line per Keap account. Outbound calling allows multiple team members to make calls from that same shared Keap Business Line number. All outbound calls from any registered device will show your Keap Business Line number as the caller ID.
