This article covers how to create, organize, edit, and delete custom fields for contact and company records in Keap™. Custom fields allow storage of additional information beyond the default contact fields, such as data used for reporting or email merge fields.
Custom field limits by plan: Keap Lite and Pro accounts can create up to 100 custom contact fields; Keap Max accounts can create up to 150 custom contact fields. All accounts can create up to 100 custom company fields, which are separate from contact custom fields.
Access Custom Fields Management

Select the user avatar and choose Settings.

Select whether to manage contact or company custom fields.

Create a Custom Contact Field

From the custom fields management page, select the add icon above the list of custom fields.

Enter a name for the custom field.

Select the custom field type.

Select whether the custom field should always be visible on all contact records in the edit view. If not selected, the field must be added to each contact manually.

Select Create field.
Organize Custom Contact Fields

Use the search field to locate custom fields by keyword.

Select the sort icon to organize custom fields alphabetically, reverse alphabetically, or grouped by field type.

Select the filter icon to choose which field types appear in the custom fields list.

Edit a Custom Contact Field

Select the custom field to edit.

Review the field details and select the properties to change.

Delete a Custom Contact Field
Warning: Deleting a custom field permanently removes the field and all data it contains across all contact records. Review how many contacts are using the field before deleting.
