Why Rearrange Your Dashboard Widgets
Your dashboard is the default home page that appears when you sign in to the app. It displays a collection of configurable reporting widgets — such as your appointments, recent contacts, revenue summary, and task list. Rearranging your dashboard widgets lets you put the information you check most often at the top of your screen, so you spend less time scrolling and more time acting on what matters to your business.
How to Rearrange Your Dashboard Widgets
On your dashboard, locate any widget and click the menu icon in the upper-right corner of that widget to open the widget menu. The menu icon appears as three dots or a kebab menu and is visible on every widget on the dashboard.
The dashboard displays multiple widgets arranged in a grid. The menu icon — three vertical dots — is visible in the upper-right corner of each widget. Clicking the menu icon on any widget opens a dropdown menu with options for that widget.
In the widget dropdown menu, click Move widgets to enter widget rearrangement mode. All widgets on the dashboard will become draggable once Move widgets mode is active.
The widget dropdown menu displays several options for the selected widget. The Move widgets option is listed in the menu. Clicking Move widgets activates widget rearrangement mode across the entire dashboard, allowing all widgets to be repositioned.
In widget rearrangement mode, click and hold the top bar of any widget you want to move. The top bar of the widget is the area at the very top of the widget that displays the widget title. Holding the mouse button down on the top bar activates the drag handle for that widget.
The dashboard in widget rearrangement mode displays all widgets with their top bars active as drag handles. The cursor is positioned on the top bar of the widget being moved. Holding the mouse button down on the top bar allows the widget to be dragged to a new position.
While holding the mouse button down, drag the widget to the new position on the dashboard where you want it to appear. A placeholder indicator will show where the widget will be placed as you drag it across the dashboard.
The dashboard displays a widget being dragged across the grid. A gray placeholder box appears at the target position to show where the widget will land when released. The other widgets on the dashboard shift their positions in real time as the dragged widget moves.
Release the mouse button to drop the widget into its new position. The widget will snap into the position indicated by the placeholder and remain there on the dashboard.
The dashboard shows the widget settled into its new position after the mouse button was released. The widget snaps into the placeholder position and the surrounding widgets adjust to fill the remaining space on the dashboard grid.
Repeat Steps 3 through 5 to rearrange any additional widgets. When you are finished repositioning all widgets, click Done to exit widget rearrangement mode and lock the dashboard layout into place. The dashboard will save your new widget arrangement and display it every time you sign in.
The dashboard in widget rearrangement mode displays the Done button at the top of the dashboard. All widgets are shown in their new positions. Clicking Done exits rearrangement mode, saves the new layout, and locks the widgets in place until the next time you choose to rearrange them.
