Keap™ Pro and Max now include a Deal Info pane on the deal record, making it possible to view and manage associated contact records without leaving the deal or pipeline. This keeps your workflow uninterrupted and your team focused on closing deals.
Why the Deal Info Pane Matters
Every time you had to leave the pipeline to view or edit a contact record, you risked losing your place and breaking your focus. The Deal Info pane eliminates that friction. You can now review contact details, make edits, and save changes — all from within the deal record. Your pipeline stays visible and your context stays intact.
Getting Started
Follow these steps to view and edit contact records directly from a deal in Keap™.
Open a deal card. The left pane displays Deal activity. The right pane, labeled Deal Info, shows all contacts associated with the deal under the Contacts section, along with Team members and General information fields including pipeline, stage, deal status, deal name, deal value, and estimated close date.
To view and edit a contact's full record, click the three-dot menu next to the contact's name in the Contacts section. Select View contact record from the menu.
Selecting View contact record opens a Contact Info pane on the far right, displaying the contact's full record including name, title, company, birthday, anniversary, owner, and phone, email, and fax fields. A middle pane showing the contact's activity, pipeline, tags, and emails also becomes visible.
To edit any field in the Contact Info pane, hover over the field value. A pencil icon appears to the right of the value. Click the pencil icon — or click directly on the field value — to edit inline.
Type your changes, then click the checkmark to save. To discard your changes without saving, click the X.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens when I open a particular deal?
The system remembers whether you last viewed the deal with the Contact Info pane expanded or collapsed and will display accordingly.
Can I open a contact in a new tab instead?
Yes. Click the three-dot menu next to a contact's name in the Contacts section of the Deal Info pane and select Open contact in new tab. This opens the full contact record in a separate browser tab so you can work in both views at once.
Can I remove a contact from a deal?
Yes. Click the three-dot menu next to the contact's name and select Remove from deal. This unlinks the contact from the deal but does not delete the contact record.
Why does the deal record look different?
Some fields previously displayed in the center deal column were moved to the Deal Info pane. All the same information is still present — the change creates more space and supports future enhancements.
Why is there a horizontal list of pipeline stages on my deal?
The pipeline stages bar shows your deal's current stage along with the stages immediately before and after it. The bar is interactive — click any stage to move the deal, or use the Stage field in the Deal Info pane.
