Why Controlling Deal Order in Your Pipeline Keeps Your Sales Process Organized

When your team is actively working deals, the order in which new deals appear in a pipeline stage affects how quickly they get noticed and actioned. Keap™ lets you choose whether new deals are added to the top or the bottom of each pipeline stage. Setting your preferred order ensures your team always sees the most relevant deals first and works through your pipeline in the sequence that matches your sales process.

How to Change the Order New Deals Are Added to a Pipeline Stage

When a new deal is added to a pipeline stage, you can control whether it appears at the top or the bottom of that stage. To change the deal order setting, follow the steps below.

1. While viewing your pipeline, click the ellipsis menu (three dots) in the top-right corner of the pipeline page, then click Pipeline Settings from the options that appear.

2. Inside Pipeline Settings, select your preferred deal order — either top of stage or bottom of stage — then click Done to save the setting. New deals added to any stage in this pipeline will now appear in the position you selected.

The panel displays two selectable options for where new deals are placed when added to a stage: top of stage or bottom of stage. The Done button appears at the bottom of the panel and must be clicked to save the selected order preference.

Does the deal order setting apply to all stages in the pipeline or just one?

The deal order setting configured in Pipeline Settings applies to all stages within that pipeline. When a new deal is added to any stage in the pipeline, it will be placed at the top or bottom of that stage based on the order preference you selected in Pipeline Settings.

Does changing the deal order affect existing deals already in the pipeline?

No. The deal order setting only controls where new deals are placed when they are added to a stage. Existing deals already in the pipeline are not reordered when you change the deal order setting in Pipeline Settings.
