We are excited to announce the launch of Thryv Workforce Center, Thryv's automated payroll solution! At the time, Thryv Workforce Center is only available to users of Thryv Command Center, who have purchased after August 1st, 2023. A version of Thryv Workforce Center compatible with all Thryv accounts is under active development.
A contractor in Thryv Workforce Center is a person or a business who is on your payroll, but not a true employee of your business. You can add them to a payroll schedule, keep track of their payments, and set up direct deposit. However, they will not be given a login to any of your Thryv products, and can not access or change their information on their own, it must be edited by an admin in Thryv Workforce Center.
To get started, navigate to Staff in the left-hand navigation.
Then, click on Add Staff
In the window that appears, select Contractor. Then, click on Next.
Select whether the contractor is a Business or an Individual
Determine how the contractor will be compensated. Fixed amount will send a fixed amount of money to the contractor upon payment. Hourly will add their tracked hours to your payroll and pay them the rate prescribed.
Finally, enter a contact email for the contractor. This will prompt and invitation to them to enter their remaining information to receive payments.
FAQ
How is a contractor different than a regular employee?
The difference between a contractor and a regular employee is that regular employees can log in to Thryv Workforce Center and view or edit their profile, whereas a contractor can not do so. Any changes to a contractor's information must be made by a Thryv Workforce Center admin.
Do I have to pay contractors on the same payroll schedule as my regular employees?
No, you are able to create multiple payroll schedules. This includes the ability for one or more separate schedules for contractors.
