Frequently Asked Questions
What does this article cover?
This article covers how to create, customize, send, and manage quotes in Keap, including creating from the quotes list or a contact record, attaching files, and understanding quote statuses.
What is the difference between a quote and an invoice?
Invoices are payable; quotes are not. A quote includes an Accept Quote button that clients can use to accept the quote, after which it can be converted to an invoice. Quotes also support adding terms and conditions, which invoices do not.
Can existing products and services be added to a quote?
Yes. Any product or service already in the Keap account can be added to a quote. New line items can also be created directly in the quote editor and are saved to the product catalog automatically.
Can a quote be edited after it has been sent?
Yes. An edited quote enters an updated state. The client can view the changes automatically on the existing quote link, or the updated quote can be re-sent as a new email.
Can quotes trigger automation?
Yes. The quote status goal can be used to trigger automation when a quote is sent, viewed, or accepted.
