Why Your Content Library Saves You Time and Keeps Your Website Accurate
Every business website needs consistent, accurate information — your phone number, address, images, and business description. When that information lives in different places, updates become a source of errors: an old phone number on one page, an outdated email on another. The Content Library in the Website Builder solves this by giving you one central place to store and manage all of your website content. When you update your business information in the Content Library, that change automatically carries across every page of your site that references it, so your customers always see the right details.
The Content Library also speeds up your website launch. Instead of manually re-entering images and business details you already have elsewhere, you can import them directly from an existing website URL or from platforms like Facebook, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Google Photos. This article covers how to use every tool inside the Content Library so your website stays professional, consistent, and easy to maintain.
How to Access the Website Builder and Content Library
To reach the Content Library, you first need to open the Website Builder. Start by clicking My Account in the top navigation bar of Thryv®.
The screenshot below shows the My Account menu expanded in the top navigation bar. My Account is located in the upper-right area of the screen and opens a dropdown that includes account settings and product navigation options.
After clicking My Account, click Website Builder in the left-hand navigation panel.
The screenshot below shows the left-hand navigation panel with Website Builder listed as one of the available options. The panel appears on the left side of the screen and contains links to all major product areas within your account.
Once inside the Website Builder, click Edit next to the website you want to manage. The Edit button appears in line with each website listed on your Website Builder dashboard.
The screenshot below shows the Website Builder dashboard with a list of your websites. Each website row includes an Edit button on the right side of the row.
How to Import Images and Content from Another Website or Social Media
If you have images or content on an existing website or social media profile, you can import them directly into your Content Library instead of uploading them manually. Inside the website editor, click CMS in the top navigation bar, then click Media Manager from the dropdown menu.
The screenshot below shows the CMS dropdown menu open inside the website editor. The Media Manager option is listed within the CMS dropdown and is the entry point for importing and managing all media on your site.
Inside Media Manager, click Import Images. A panel will appear giving you the option to import images from a website URL or from a connected online platform. The supported platforms for import are Facebook, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Google Photos.
The screenshot below shows the Import Images panel inside Media Manager. The panel displays two options: import from a website URL or import from a connected online platform. Platform icons for Facebook, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Google Photos are visible as selectable connection options.
Enter your website URL in the URL field, or click the icon for the platform you want to connect. Follow the on-screen prompts to authorize the connection and begin the import.
The screenshot below shows the URL entry field and platform connection icons displayed after clicking Import Images. The field accepts a full website address, and each platform icon can be clicked to begin the authorization process for that service.
How to Manage Images in Your Content Library
The Photo Gallery inside Media Manager displays all images currently stored in your Content Library. To add a new image, click the + Upload Images button. Your file browser will open and allow you to select one or more image files from your computer to upload directly to the Content Library.
The screenshot below shows the Photo Gallery tab inside Media Manager. Existing images appear as thumbnails in the gallery, and the + Upload Images button is located in the upper-right area of the panel. The gallery does not display files — only image formats are shown in this tab.
How to Upload and Delete Files in Your Content Library
To manage non-image files such as PDFs or documents, click the Files tab inside Media Manager. The Files tab is separate from the Photo Gallery tab and displays only uploaded file formats, not images.
The screenshot below shows the Media Manager panel with the Files tab selected. The Files tab is displayed alongside the Photo Gallery tab at the top of the Media Manager panel. Uploaded files appear as a list in this view.
To upload a new file, click the + Upload Files button. Your file browser will open and allow you to select a file from your computer.
The screenshot below shows the Files tab with the + Upload Files button visible in the upper-right area of the panel.
To delete a file, hover your cursor over the file you want to remove. A grey X button will appear in the top-right corner of the file thumbnail. Click the grey X button to delete the file. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone from this panel.
The screenshot below shows a file in the Files tab with the cursor hovering over it. The grey X button appears in the top-right corner of the file thumbnail when the cursor is positioned over the file.
How to Delete Contact Form Responses from Your Website
If you need to remove responses submitted through a contact form on your website, navigate to the form response manager inside the website editor. Click More in the left-hand menu of the website editor, then click Settings from the options that appear.
The screenshot below shows the left-hand menu of the website editor with the More option expanded. Settings appears as one of the items in the expanded More menu.
Inside Settings, click Manage Form Responses. The Manage Form Responses option appears as a clickable link within the Settings panel.
The screenshot below shows the Settings panel inside the website editor with the Manage Form Responses option visible. The option is listed within the Settings panel alongside other site management options.
How to Search for and Delete a Specific Form Response
The Form Responses page displays all submissions received through any contact form on your website. To locate a specific response, type the visitor's name, email address, or exact phrase into the Search visitor info search box. The search requires an exact match — partial words or approximate spellings will not return results. Once you locate the response you want to remove, select the response and click the delete option to remove it from your records.
The screenshot below shows the Form Responses page with the Search visitor info search box at the top of the response list. Individual form responses appear as rows below the search box, each showing the visitor's submitted information. The delete option becomes available when a response row is selected.
How to Keep Your Business Name, Phone Number, and Address Consistent Across Your Website
The Business Information section of the Content Library lets you store your business name, phone numbers, address, and contact details in one place. When you add or update this information in Business Information, your website automatically pulls the updated details into any page or widget that references your business info. This means you only need to make a change in one place to keep your entire site accurate.
To access Business Information, click CMS in the top navigation bar of the website editor, then click Business Info from the dropdown menu.
The screenshot below shows the CMS dropdown menu open in the website editor, with Business Info listed as a selectable option. The Business Info section contains fields for your business name, address, phone numbers, email address, and social media links. It does not contain website page content such as text blocks or image galleries.
How to Add Your Facebook Page to Your Website's Business Information
To connect your Facebook business page to your website's Business Information, you need to enter your Facebook page URL in the correct format. The URL must follow this structure: https://www.facebook.com/ followed by your Facebook Page ID. The Page ID is the unique identifier for your specific Facebook business page.
The screenshot below shows the Facebook URL field inside the Business Information section. The field accepts a full Facebook page URL in the format described above. The field does not accept a general Facebook homepage URL — it requires a URL that points to your specific business page.
How to Find Your Facebook Page ID
Your Facebook Page ID appears in your Facebook page URL. There are three common URL formats you may encounter, and each one tells you where to find the correct Page ID to use in your website's Business Information.
Format 1 — Name-only URL: If your Facebook page URL looks like https://www.facebook.com/YourBusinessName, then your Page ID is the name at the end of the URL, such as YourBusinessName. Enter the full URL including that name as your import link: https://www.facebook.com/YourBusinessName.
Format 2 — Number-only URL: If your Facebook page URL looks like https://www.facebook.com/123456789012345/, then your Page ID is the number in the URL, such as 123456789012345. Enter the full URL including that number as your import link: https://www.facebook.com/123456789012345/.
Format 3 — Name plus number URL: If your Facebook page URL looks like https://www.facebook.com/YourBusinessName/123456789012345/, then your Page ID is the number at the end of the URL, such as 123456789012345. Enter the number-only version as your import link: https://www.facebook.com/123456789012345/.
How to Add Your Business Description to Your Content Library
The Business Text section of the Content Library lets you store paragraphs of descriptive content about your business, such as an About Us statement or a Company Overview. Once you add text in the Business Text section, you can reference and pull that content into your website pages as you build your site, saving you from rewriting the same descriptions for multiple pages.
To add or edit your Business Text, open the Business Information section by clicking CMS in the top navigation bar of the website editor, then clicking Business Info. Scroll to the Business Text area and enter your business description in the text field provided. You can enter multiple paragraphs and save them as separate named blocks, such as an About Us block and a Company Overview block.
The screenshot below shows the Business Text area inside the Business Information section. The text entry field accepts multiple paragraphs and displays any previously saved text blocks. The field does not limit character count but content entered here is intended for reuse across website pages, not for storing private notes.
How to Update a Phone Number, Email, or Address Across Your Entire Website at Once
The Find and Replace tool in the Content Library lets you search your entire website for a specific phone number, email address, street address, or social media link and replace every instance of it with updated information in a single action. This prevents outdated contact details from appearing on any page of your site after a business change such as a new phone number or office relocation.
To use Find and Replace, open the Business Information section by clicking CMS in the top navigation bar of the website editor, then clicking Business Info. Scroll to the Find and Replace section. Enter the existing text you want to replace in the Find field, then enter the new text in the Replace field. Click Replace All to apply the update across every page of your site.
The screenshot below shows the Find and Replace tool inside the Business Information section. The tool displays a Find field and a Replace field side by side. Below the fields, a Replace All button applies the change across the entire site. The Find and Replace tool supports phone numbers, email addresses, street addresses, and social media links. It does not search image file names or file attachment names.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does this article cover?
This article covers the Content Library inside the Website Builder, including how to import images and content from other websites and social media platforms, how to upload and manage images and files in Media Manager, how to delete contact form responses, how to store and update your business information and business description, and how to use the Find and Replace tool to update contact details across your website. This article does not cover how to build or design website pages, how to add widgets to your site, or how to publish your website. For help designing your website pages, see [link to website page building article].
Will the import tool bring in all content from my existing website?
No. The Import Content tool does not always import all content from an existing website. The import is limited to content that the import tool is able to detect and retrieve from the source site. Content that is generated dynamically, protected by a login, or embedded through third-party scripts may not be imported. After running an import, review your Media Manager to confirm which images and assets were successfully retrieved and upload any missing content manually using the + Upload Images or + Upload Files buttons.
Will changes I make to a widget override my Business Information?
Yes. If you manually edit a specific widget on a website page, the content you enter directly on that widget will override the content pulled from the Content Library for that widget. This means a manual widget edit takes priority over the centrally stored Business Information. To maintain consistency across your site, update your information in the Business Information section and avoid manually overriding widgets wherever possible.
My Facebook page is not importing. What should I check?
If your Facebook page is not importing, confirm that you are using the correct Facebook Page ID in the URL. Your Page ID is either the name or the number that appears in your Facebook page URL — not your personal profile name. Review the three URL formats described in the "How to Find Your Facebook Page ID" section of this article to identify your correct Page ID and format your import URL accordingly.
What types of content can Find and Replace update?
The Find and Replace tool can update phone numbers, email addresses, street addresses, and social media links across your website pages. The Find and Replace tool does not update image file names, file attachment names, or content stored inside embedded third-party widgets.
