There are a few additional steps you may (or may not) have to take to connect Instagram. The first one is to ensure you have an Instagram Business account. The second is ensuring your Instagram Business Account is connected to your Facebook Business Page.

Here are the steps needed to complete the change over from a personal Instagram account to a Business Instagram account (Note: You will not lose any photos or other content making the switch, but keep in mind that Business Profiles cannot be private.)

Convert to a Business Profile:

1. Go to your Instagram profile on your mobile device and tap  (iPhone) or  (Android) in the top-right corner.
2. Tap Sign up for a Business Profile. 
3. Tap Create New Account or Convert Existing Account.
4. Make sure your profile is set to Public. Private accounts can't switch to Business Accounts.
5. On the Set Up Your Business Profile page, review your business's contact information, make any changes and tap Done.

If you use a business account on Instagram, you'll get access to new business features and Instagram insights. Thryv will also be able to track analytics on your number of recent comments and followers.

Connecting your Instagram Business Account to your Facebook Business Page:

It's important that you are the Admin on your Facebook Business Page before you attempt to connect your Instagram Business account, but you can do this easily from within the Instagram App.

To link your Instagram account to a Facebook Page:

Android

1. Go to your Instagram Business profile and tap .
2. TapSettings.
3. Scroll down and tap Meta Accounts Center, then tap Set Up Accounts Center.
4. If you haven't already, enter your Facebook login information, or Continue As (Your Name)
5. Verify that the correct Facebook account is showing and tap on Continue.
6. Finally tap on Add (your account name) to connect your account

iPhone

1. Go to your Instagram Business profile and tap .
2. TapSettings.
3. Scroll down and tap Meta Accounts Center, then select Facebook.
4. If you haven't already, enter your Facebook login information, or Continue As (Your Name)
5. Verify that the correct Facebook account is showing and tap on Continue.
6. Finally tap on Add (your account name) to connect your account

Desktop

1. Log into your Instagram account and click on your profile picture in the top right and then Settings.
2. In the bottom left, click on Meta Accounts Center
   
3. Click on Add Accounts 
   
   
4. You will be prompted to log in to Facebook. Click on Continue As (Your Name). Note that it will temporarily sign into your personal Facebook page. You will immediately be able to sign into your business page. You are not granting access to your personal page in any way
5. Ensure that your correct Instagram Business Account is appearing and click on Continue
   
6. Finally confirm and add your business
   

When your page is added, it will appear under Accounts & Profiles

Connecting your Instagram Business Account to Business Center:

Once you have completed the steps above, you can connect your Instagram Business account to Business Center.

From the Social tab, click on the gear icon:

Then, click on Add New, and select Instagram
