Ratings and reviews can make all the difference when consumers are making buying decisions.
The Reviews functionality in Thryv Business Center™ will allow you to quickly view what your clients are saying about you and take action quickly.
Want to know how other users are getting more reviews? Ask our Support Forum! To create your post, or answer another user's question, all you have to do is log in with your Thryv credentials
To see Reviews navigate to Reputation>Reviews.
Review Metrics:
- Number of Reviews
- Overall Rating
- Number of reviews by star rating
- Button to start an Automated Campaign to generate more reviews
- Button to retrieve a link to your Google Business Profile to invite customers to leave a review
- Star rating aggregate for:
- Thryv
- Other
Review List:
- Source of review
- Content
- Date
- Star Rating
- Ability to respond to reviews directly on the site where the review was left (Note: In order to respond to reviews on Yelp you must be a direct paid Yelp advertiser)
- Including ThryvAI to help write your response
Review Filtering:
- Provides ability to filter by star rating and/or Site
- You also can Search your reviews to find a specific one
Review Response
You'll be able to see new reviews as they come in - you no longer need to check each review site and reply. You can respond directly from here to reviews from Facebook, Google, your Thryv client portal, and reviews are also available for Yelp and TripAdvisor by linking out to their sites directy (more on that below). Review responses are not available for other sites.
Reviews that have not been answered will have the Response Needed label. Note that Needs Response is also available as a filter above your reviews. Click on Respond under the review you'd like to reply to. You can type your reply in the space provided. Once you're finished, click Reply for your reply to be sent to the review site.
If you're looking for the right words, use ThryvAI to help come up with your response. To activate ThryvAI, click on the wand icon. ThryvAI will generate 3 response options based on the wording of the review. Note that if you don't want to use any of these options, you can click on the wand icon again to get 3 more. You are able to repeat as many times as you'd like.
Selecting one of the responses does not obligate you to use it verbatim. When you select a response, it will populate into the response field, however it won't send right away. You are still able to edit the response as much as you'd like before clicking reply. ThryvAI can help generate the response, but you are still in complete control!
You'll also have other options in responding to your review. Clicking the tri-dots: opens up the following window:
If the review you've seen is inappropriate, or spam, you can flag it. We will investigate the review and take action if necessary. You can report the review by selecting one of the following options that will pop up:
Responding to Yelp or TripAdvisor Reviews
Reviews from Yelp and TripAdvisor are displayed in Thryv. Because these sites do not allow responses from 3rd parties, use the Reply on Yelp/TripAdvisor button to be taken to your profile. You are able to respond there.
Note: Because of this, these reviews will not show up in the Needs Response section of your Reviews. They will only show up under All
- You must be a direct paid advertiser with Yelp
- You must have your credentials (you may be prompted to log in the first time.)
From your Reviews tab, select Reply on Yelp/TripAdvisor next to your Yelp Review:
This button will take you to your Profile. From here, you must sign in to your account and reply as normal. If you are not a direct paid advertiser with Yelp, you will only be able to view the review and not respond.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Where do Thryv Reviews appear?
- They will be in your Client Portal after a 7-day quarantine unless manually published sooner.
- On your Thryv website after 5 reviews are published.
- Your reviews will not automatically appear on Google. Google scrapes multiple review sites and ultimately decides which ones to display. Thryv does not have any way to influence this decision
- Reviews are quarantined for 7 days but can be published immediately by you!
- How do you respond to Thryv Reviews?
- Respond directly to Thryv reviews publicly from the Reviews tab inside Thryv Business Center.

- You can respond to Google, Facebook, and Yelp reviews inside of Thryv Business Center as long as they are connected through your Listings Management. Otherwise, you would respond on their respective sites.

If I get a review on one site, can I copy or forward it to other review sites?
- Reviews are considered proprietary content. So where the review is posted, be it Google, Yelp, or any other review site, that 3rd party owns that content, so we are not able to create a central location to display all reviews.

How many reviews can appear on Yelp?
- Yelp will only display 3 reviews at a time. This is a Yelp limitation that Thryv can not change.
