After adding your staff members in My Account, there are additional permissions and settings related to your staff members in Thryv Business Center. These are configured separately.
To access advanced settings for a staff member, navigate to Settings, then Staff, then click the Edit Icon for the staff member.
In the pop-up that appears, click on Advanced.
For each staff member, they can customize the following. Note that these settings can also be accessed by clicking on Settings in the left-hand navigation and accessing in the right-hand column.
- Profile - including name and photo
- Availability & Calendar - schedule for online booking
- Appointments - services offered by this staff member
Profile
On the Profile settings page, you can edit contact information and other preferences for this staff member.
- Profile Picture - click on Upload Profile Picture to select a new picture, or Remove to delete the picture. This photo will appear in your online booking menu when customers select their staff member.

Email - notifications from Thryv Business Center will be sent to this email. In addition, this is the email used to log in.
- Note: Changing this email here will also change it in My Account
- First Name and Last Name - these fields display internally in Thryv Business Center. They will also display on your online booking menu if Display Name is blank
- Display Name - this name will appear in place of the first and last name in any customer-facing places
- Professional Title - this will display along with the staff member's name
- Default Homepage - select the default screen that will appear when this staff member logs in to Thryv Business Center
- Email Signature - this signature will appear in all emails sent by this staff member in Thryv Business Center. This does not affect messages sent through channels connected to My Account.
Availability & Calendar
This section governs the availability and calendar for a specific staff member.
Business Settings
This section affects the calendar view for your business. Note that changes made here will only affect you and your staff's view, and will not affect what your clients see in Online Booking. Use the drop-downs to change your calendar view:
- Start Week On - change the day of the week that will be in the first position (far left) on your calendar
- Time Format - choose between a 12 hour and 24 hour clock

Time Zone - select the time zone your appointments will display in
- Use the checkbox to determine if all of your staff and clients need time displayed in the time zone selected here. This is the best option when your business is local and only operates in one time zone
General Availability
For each team member, you can set a different time zone, and Business Hours, so each can manage their own availability to meet with clients at their best convenience.
Use the + Add time slot to add a second set of available hours on the same day. This would be used if you close for a portion of the middle of the day. An example of this would be closing at mid-day for a lunch break.
Enter a start and end time for the additional block and then click on Add
Content Display
Content Display changes how your calendar information is presented to you, visually.
Use the Slot Colors Menu to choose how your appointments are color coded. Your calendar can be:
- Always color coded by service/appointment type
- Always color coded by staff member
- Color coded by service/appointment type when viewing one staff calendar and color coded by staff member when viewing multiple staff calendars at the same time
Use the Slot Increments menu to chose how you want time period displayed on your calendar. Use the radio buttons to select a size for your time slots. The smaller you make your time slot, the larger appointments will appear on your calendar.

Appointments
On this screen, select which of your services this staff member will provide. Check the box if the staff member provides the service. When your customers book online, this staff member will appear as an option for that service.
