Why Customize Your Client Portal Branding
Your Client Portal at Thryv is the scheduling and contact request experience your clients see when they book with you. By default, the Client Portal widget uses a standard color scheme that may not match your website or reflect your brand identity. Customizing your Client Portal colors ensures your booking experience looks like a natural extension of your website rather than a generic third-party tool, which builds client confidence and increases the likelihood they complete a booking.
Branding changes you make in the Client Portal settings apply in two places: the Client Portal widget embedded on your website, and the automatic email notifications and reminders the system sends to your clients. This means a single branding update creates a consistent, professional experience across every touchpoint a client has with your business. If you manage a multi-staff account, the color configuration applies to all staff members so every booking page presents the same unified brand.
How to Update Your Client Portal Colors and Branding
To update your Client Portal colors and branding, click Online Presence in the left-hand navigation, then click Customize. The Online Presence Customize screen displays your Client Portal widget preview along with options to edit your widget settings.
Scroll down and click General Settings. After, on the Branding section you will click on Portal colors and branding.
The Portal Colors and Branding screen displays two color fields: the header background color and the theme color.
After clicking Portal colors and branding you will be in Settings/Business Info, where you will be able to add your Business info, add a profile picture & cover for the web widget and add your logo and brand colors. You will also be able to include your contact info and privacy policy.
After you are finished, click Save to apply your changes. The updated colors will appear immediately in your Client Portal widget and will apply to all future automatic email notifications and reminders sent to your clients.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does changing my Client Portal branding affect all staff members in a multi-staff account?
Yes. The color configuration you set in the Portal Colors and Branding settings applies to all staff members in your account. Individual staff members cannot set their own Client Portal colors. All staff booking pages will display the same header text color and theme color to present a unified branded experience across your business.
Why should I use a darker color for my theme color?
The theme color you select in the Portal Colors and Branding settings controls the button color in both your Client Portal widget and in automatic email notifications sent to your clients. Email clients display buttons with your selected theme color as the button background. If you select a light theme color, the button text may be difficult to read against the background. Use a darker theme color to ensure button text remains readable in all email clients.
