    Filtering, labeling, organizing and grouping your client data using Tags

    A growing business goes hand in hand with an expanding client base. As a result, managing, relating and leveraging the various information you have on each client can be complicated and at times even challenging. The system helps you convey information into valuable actions for your business. Labeling, organizing, grouping, and filtering with the help of Tags are one of the solutions the system provides you for this purpose.

    Using tags in your Thryv account allows you to label, organize, group and filter information related to your business interaction with your clients. Tags provide the ability to sort your data with a personalized common word/short phrase/theme, allowing you to quickly find what’s most important to you for your specific needs and actions. Apart from finding and sorting clients efficiently, some of the main advantages of using them are:

    • Perform bulk operations based on your Tags.
    • Sorting data in reports is simplified - Tags are included in each report you download from your Thryv account.
    • Use Tags to target your communications with your clients with relevant content.

    Creating or adding a Tag

    You can easily create or add tags per entity or in bulk from your account by:

    1. Individually
      - Directly within a specific client’s card.
    • Search and select a specific client form your list.
    • Go to the MAIN tab in your chosen client card.
    • Click on Tags field and start typing the term you wish to add. If a tag with that term already exists, it will be auto-suggested to you by the system.

    2. In the client card pane located in the Inbox conversations

    • Click on the  icon.
    • Click on the Tags field and start typing the term you wish to add. If a tag with that term already exists, it will be auto-suggested to you by the system.

    3. In a bulk operation

    To save time, you can add one or as many tags as you want to multiple contacts from the main contacts page:

    • Click on Clients menu located in the left navigation pane.
    • Select the clients from your list you want to add tags to or click the SELECT button on the upper bar menu if you wish to Select All listed clients.
    • Click on ADD TAGS button on the upper bar menu.
    • Click on the Tags field and start typing the label(s) you wish to add.
    • Click on ADD TAGS in the 'Add Tags' window to save your addition(s) or click on CANCEL.

    Tip - If a tag with that term already exists, it will be auto-suggested to you by the system.

    Removing Tags

    • Click on the “x” icon to the right of the tag you want to remove as shown below.

    Searching, filtering and doing bulk operations with Tags

    • Click on Clients menu located in the left navigation pane.
    • In the Search by Tag(s) field, type in any term(s) you want to filter your contacts by.

    Tip - If a tag with that term already exists, it will be auto-suggested to you by the system.

    Based on your chosen tags search results, you have the option to do several bulk operations from the upper bar menu:

    • Invite via Email – Send your clients an invitation to visit your Client Portal via email.
    • Delete – Delete selected clients.

    More filtering options

    You can sort or filter your client base by other attributes:

    • Sort your clients from the Clients summary menu
