Your Yelp profile must also belong to one of the approximately 600 business categories that Yelp has approved for Request a Quote. How to Set Up Yelp Request a Quote in Thryv
If your business meets the eligibility requirements, a setup banner will appear at the top of your Thryv dashboard. Each stage of the setup process can take 24 to 48 hours for Yelp to process, so start as early as possible to begin receiving leads. If you have already dismissed the banner, you can still complete the setup through Listings Management — see the note at the end of this section for those steps.
Step 1: Claim Your Yelp Profile
The first step in the setup banner is to confirm that your Yelp profile is claimed. If your profile is not yet claimed, click Claim Your Yelp Profile in the banner to be taken to Yelp's claiming process. Once your profile is claimed, return to your Thryv dashboard. This step can take 24 to 48 hours to complete. The button to activate Request a Quote will not appear until Yelp confirms your profile is claimed.

Step 2: Enable Yelp Messages
Once your Yelp profile is claimed, the setup banner will prompt you to enable Yelp Messages. Click the Enable Yelp Messages button in the banner. Thryv will direct you to your Yelp profile to turn messaging on. After you enable messaging in Yelp, the banner will display a status of Pending and will update to Complete once Thryv confirms that Yelp Messages are active. This confirmation can take 24 to 48 hours. Once this step is complete, your Yelp profile will accept incoming messages and quote requests from leads.

How to Enable Messaging Inside Your Yelp Inbox
After clicking Enable Yelp Messages in the setup banner, a pop-up will appear with instructions. Click Go to Inbox to be taken to your Yelp inbox. Once inside your Yelp inbox, complete the following steps to turn on messaging:
Click the gear icon in the upper left corner of your Yelp inbox.
Check the box labeled Allow people to message your business.
Click Save.
After completing these steps in Yelp, return to your Thryv dashboard to continue the setup process.

Step 3: Connect Your Yelp Account to Thryv
Once Yelp messaging is enabled, the setup banner will prompt you to connect your Yelp account to Thryv. Click Connect Account in the banner. A pop-up will appear asking you to authorize Thryv to provision the Request a Quote feature on your Yelp profile and to agree to the terms and conditions. Check the authorization box, then click Accept and Connect. If you are not already signed in to Yelp, you will be prompted to sign in before the connection is completed.

Both the authorization checkbox and the Accept and Connect button must be completed to finish the connection.
Your setup is complete. This final step can also take 24 to 48 hours to process. You will not receive quote requests from leads until Yelp confirms the connection is active. Once active, you can view your Yelp lead analytics by clicking Analytics in the left-hand navigation, or view incoming messages by clicking My Leads in the left-hand navigation.
How to Start or Resume Setup from Listings Management
If you dismissed the setup banner before completing all steps, you can still enable Yelp Request a Quote through Listings Management. Click Listings Management in the left-hand navigation, then click Manage My Listings. Scroll down to the Yelp section and click the action button next to Yelp Request a Quote to start or continue the setup process from where you left off.

How Yelp Request a Quote Appears on Your Yelp Profile
Once Yelp Request a Quote is active, your business listing will display additional options for leads to contact you directly from Yelp search results and your profile page. When your business appears in a Yelp search, a Get Pricing & Availability button will appear on your business tile in the search results. This button invites searchers to submit a quote request before they even visit your full profile.

On your full Yelp business profile page, a Request a Quote option will also appear on the right-hand side of the page. When a lead clicks this option, Yelp will ask them to select a service type if applicable and then complete the detailed quote request form. The information from this form is what appears in your Thryv My Leads inbox and analytics.

How to View Quote Request Analytics
To view analytics for your Yelp quote requests, click Analytics in the left-hand navigation of your Thryv dashboard.

Once inside Analytics, click the Quote Requests tab. All quote requests received through Yelp will appear in the Yelp Quote Requests section. Each row in the list displays the lead's name, service type as defined in the Yelp Request a Quote form, zip code, and submission date.

To view the full details of a specific quote request, click View Details on that row. A panel will slide out from the right side of the screen displaying the lead's submitted details, their message, and their responses to the Yelp qualification survey. Below the list of leads, a chart displays the volume of quote requests received over time. Use the date range drop-down in the top right corner of the chart to adjust the time period displayed. Yelp quote request leads are also counted in the total lead metric shown on your Thryv dashboard.

How to View and Respond to Quote Requests in My Leads
When Yelp Request a Quote is fully connected, a confirmation message will appear in your My Leads inbox. This message contains important information about how leads from Yelp work. Quotes remain valid for 7 days. If 7 days pass without a manual response, Thryv will send an automated message on your behalf, but responding to quote requests as quickly as possible improves the likelihood that Yelp will continue routing leads to your business. The phone number and email address provided with each quote request are temporary and will expire after the lead period ends. To retain this lead as a future contact, save their true contact information before the lead expires. All information submitted by the lead through the Yelp Request a Quote form is available in the contact side panel inside My Leads.

To respond to a quote request from the Analytics tab, click Reply in My Leads on the quote request details panel. Thryv will take you directly to the conversation for that lead inside My Leads. Each new quote request automatically creates a new conversation in My Leads, and Thryv sends an automatic reply to the lead when the conversation is created. Yelp will be selected as the channel for each of these conversations. Once a lead expires after 7 days, you will no longer be able to contact that person through the Yelp channel, as the email address and phone number provided by Yelp are temporary.

How the Automated Response to Yelp Leads Works
When a new lead submits a quote request through Yelp, Thryv automatically sends a response to the lead on your behalf. This automated response is required because Yelp mandates that businesses respond to leads within a defined time frame. If a business does not respond in time, Yelp passes the quote request opportunity to the next eligible business. The automated response ensures your business stays compliant with Yelp's response policies and protects your lead pipeline. Because the response must meet Yelp's timing and content requirements, the automated response cannot be edited or customized.

How to Disconnect Yelp Request a Quote from Thryv
Disconnecting Yelp Request a Quote from Thryv removes the connection between your Yelp account and Thryv. This action does not disable Request a Quote on your Yelp profile itself — it only stops Yelp quote requests from appearing in your Thryv My Leads inbox and analytics. To fully disable Request a Quote on Yelp, you must do so directly in your Yelp account settings.
To disconnect, click Listings Management in the left-hand navigation of your Thryv dashboard.
