This article explains how to find Payment Settings in Thryv Business Center and what you can configure there, including Card & Wallet Pay, Tap to Pay, Bank/ACH Debit, Tips, and Statement Descriptor.
This article does not cover how to process a payment, manage payment transactions, or configure invoices and estimates. To learn about Billing & Invoicing settings see Billing & Invoicing Settings in Thryv Business Center.
Why Payment Settings Is Now Its Own Page
Payment Settings in Thryv Business Center is now a dedicated page, separate from Billing & Invoicing settings. Before this change, payment configuration options and invoice & estimate settings shared the same settings area, which made it harder to find what you needed quickly.
With Payment Settings on its own page, you can get directly to your payment configuration without navigating through invoice or estimate options. This is especially useful when you need to make a quick change to your payment setup between client appointments or before sending a payment request.
How to Get to Payment Settings
From inside Thryv Business Center, click Sales in the left-hand navigation menu. Then click ThryvPay. On the ThryvPay page, click the gear icon in the upper right corner to open Settings. This page displays three tabs across the top: Payment Settings, Business Information, and Bank Details. Click the Payment Settings tab to access your payment configuration options.
What You Can Configure in Payment Settings
The Payment Settings tab displays five sections you can manage: Card & Wallet Pay, Tap to Pay, Bank/ACH Debit, Tips, and Statement Descriptor.
Card & Wallet Pay
The Card & Wallet Pay section controls whether your clients can pay using a credit card or a digital wallet such as Apple Pay. Use the toggle to enable or disable this payment method. When Card & Wallet Pay is enabled, you can also set a Credit Card Limit a maximum dollar amount you are willing to accept per credit card or wallet transaction. Setting a limit can help you manage processing fees on large transactions.
Tap to Pay
The Tap to Pay section displays any registered devices that can accept contactless payments. If no devices are registered, this section shows "No Registered Devices." To add a device, follow the setup instructions for your ThryvPay card reader.
Bank / ACH Debit
The Bank/ACH Debit section allows your clients to pay by providing their bank account details directly. Clients must accept a mandate authorizing the debit to their account and verify ownership of the account through micro-verification or micro-deposit. Use the toggle to enable or disable this payment method.
Tips
The Tips section allows you to give clients the option to add a tip at checkout. Use the toggle to enable or disable tipping. When tipping is enabled, you can set up to three default tip percentage options that clients can choose from at checkout. Tips and convenience fees display on a separate transaction.
Statement Descriptor
The Statement Descriptor section controls how your business name appears on your clients' bank statements. A clear and accurate statement descriptor helps clients recognize your charges and reduces the likelihood of chargebacks or disputes. You can set a Statement Descriptor Prefix and a full Statement Descriptor. Both fields have character limits displayed next to each field as you type.

To find Payment Settings, click Sales in the left-hand navigation, click ThryvPay, click the gear icon in the upper right corner, and then click the Payment Settings tab.
Q: Can I manage invoice templates or tax settings from the Payment Settings tab?
