This page gives valuable insight into how users are finding your website, and how they are behaving when they get there. For more insights into the behavior of segments of visitors based on how they found your site, you can sort data by the method they used. To access this page, navigate to SEO>Google Analytics>Acquisition
To change the date range for the data displayed, select a range in the top right, set a custom date range, or compare 2 different date ranges. Changing the date range will affect all charts on this page.
To filter the data displayed by the channel a visitor used to access your site, click on one of the channels at the top of the screen to only display data for these visitors. This will change all charts on the page
Click on a metric to change the chart displayed, and hover over a specific time period to see its data.
- Sessions - number of visits to your site
- Total Users - number of unique website visitors
- Avg Engagement Time - average amount of time a visitor spends on your site
- Views - total number of pages viewed. If a visitor views multiple pages in one session, these would be counted individually
- Conversions - number of times a visitor takes an action on your site, for example making a payment or scheduling an appointment
- Event count - number of individual total actions taken on your site by all visitors
Below this chart, different types of data will be available based on the channel selected at the top of the screen. For example, if organic search is chosen, you will see the search sites and keywords used. If social is selected, you will see the social platforms used and the pages visitors first landed on. Use this data to gain insights about how visitors are finding your website by each method, or see if the method by which visitors access your site affects their behavior once they get there.
